The first week of May 1965 I finally got the job at the local Music store I had been applying for weekly for over three months. I think I may have been hired just to get me to stop coming in and asking for a job. Somehow I knew that was where I was supposed to be. Except for my service in the US Navy I have been working in a Music store and playing for the last 57 years.
Recently we were approached by a Real Estate Broker and accepted an offer to buy all three of our buildings and the parking lot.
July 12th will be our last day open. I will still be selling online(web page/Reverb/Ebay and our page).
I have been incredibly fortunate to be able to do what I want and make a great living doing it. I have worked with so many great people that are the reason Joe's Music lasted all these years.
My thanks go out to the best customers in the world for supporting us.

We congratulate Joe Naylor, Ken and Penny Haas on Reverends 25th anniversary. A remarkable feat in a business where most major companies regurgitate the same designs year after year. Joe Naylor has taken everything we love about traditional vintage electric guitars and incorporated all that we wanted in a modern guitar in some of the most exciting finishes in the guitar business, giving us the best of both worlds in a high quality instrument. With his innovative designs and Ken and Penny's Marketing and Customer service skills they have built a guitar company that will have many Anniversaries. I feel honored to have have had a "ring side seat" these last 25 years. We were fortunate to have Joe use his Lutherie skills here at the store while he was working on the original Reverend prototype. Ken was a very good customer of ours and had purchased five Reverends before starting to work at Reverend. We were thrilled when we heard the news that Ken and Penny had taken ownership of Reverend and Joe was going to remain as a designer and consultant. HAPPY 25th !!!!!!!!!!!
