Dear Booklovers,

Well, here we are — Labor Day weekend, the unofficial last call of summer. There’s a little chill creeping into the mornings now (did anyone else pull a sweater out this week?), and honestly, we’re here for it. Cooler weather means cozier reading, and we are fully in favor.

So this weekend, take your pick: squeeze in one last beach read or vacation page-turner before summer officially closes out, or go ahead and lean into the season shift with a cozy mystery. We give you permission to get lost in a book, it’s been a busy summer!

Good news either way — our staff picks table just got a refresh, so there’s plenty of new inspiration waiting whichever direction you go.

Here’s to one last long weekend of summer, however you spend it.

Dear Booklovers,

Can you feel it? There’s a crispness creeping into the mornings, and it feels like fall is right around the corner. First harbinger of fall: the public school starts back up this Wednesday, which means backpacks, new pencils, and a slightly quieter bookstore during the weekday.

Whether you’re gearing up for back to school, anticipating the quieter streets of Eastsound as tourism slows (at least a little), or just trying to squeeze in one more day at the lake before the routine kicks in, we’ve got a book to meet you where you are.
