I need your help building a new BAREROOTS scent: Banana Slug 🍌🌿
Banana slugs are one of those oddly iconic little creatures you spot while hiking through the damp forests of the PNW—so naturally, they needed their own candle.
But now I’m torn between two completely different scent directions:

A — Cozy Banana Bread
Warm banana, brown sugar, vanilla, and baked spices.

B — PNW Forest Slug
Rain-damp moss, cedar, fern, and forest floor with just a subtle hint of banana.

What does Baby Got Backwoods smell like?
Like wandering deep into the evergreens and finding a fire already waiting for you.

Exciting local news! 🌲

You can now find BAREROOTS Candle Co. and Keep It Mossy Studio inside Center Street Junction in downtown Eatonville!

Our little display is stocked with BAREROOTS candles, wax melts and room sprays, along with Keep It Mossy Studio postcards and Pacific Northwest artwork.

We are so excited to have both of our brands represented in a shop filled with local makers, vintage finds and unique treasures—and that view of the mountain isn’t too bad either. 🏔️

I’ve been working on something new behind the scenes…

I f you know me, you know how much I love getting out on the trails around Mt. Rainier — and I finally started turning some of my favorite hikes into vintage-style art prints.

This one is from wildflower season 🌼

It feels like a really natural extension of BAREROOTS… same inspiration, just a different way to bring those places into your home.

Around here we call this one Sweaty Hiker. 🥾☕
Inspired by those classic PNW trail mornings when you've had just enough coffee (or tea) before the hike that you might actually sweat caffeine on the climb.
Warm notes of
• nutmeg
• cinnamon
• maple syrup
• vanilla bean
Basically the smell of pancakes and coffee after a long hike.
