Addendum: Mr. Wolfgang Arlt, who is 97 years old, called me today to thank me for the painting. His son brought it to him. He left a message saying he has it up in his room. He called it his fish house, so that’s what I’m going with-fish house! What an honor it is it to hear from him!

We have boated by this charming “boat house” on our beautiful lake many times over the years. I loved painting it and was finally able to deliver it to the family visiting this weekend!

Sally Kallenbach was a classmate of mine growing up. A while back, she posted a photo of her lovely potting shed, and I instantly fell in love with it. I’ve always been drawn to buildings and structures with character, and I knew I had to paint it someday. Painting this sweet little shed brought me so much joy. ❤️ Thank you, Sally!

Update: Softened the background and foreground. It felt too harsh to me. Hope I get your approval.

I am pleased to introduce 'Blue Silence'. I favor creating pairs of paintings with similar subjects or color palettes, as individual smaller pieces often get overlooked on walls. This 8 x 8 acrylic piece on canvas panel is part of a duo intended for framing and hanging in my studio office upon completion. I never realized how much I love trees and leaves until I started painting. I look at the art in my home and many if not most pieces pertain to trees and leaves!
