If you haven’t read this one! It’s a must. For those that participated I have 3 picks because I decided to grab a handful more of books 💗

If you haven’t already picked up a copy I have one for you. Message me and I will send it to 💗 if you already have it. You can gift it to someone else or I can do that for you too

Next book recommendation drops the 3rd Friday of Every Month Sept 18th.

I finished Theo of Golden, and I can’t stop thinking about it.

I love books, but every once in a while, one finds you at exactly the right time and settles somewhere a little deeper.

This one is about community, kindness, compassion, art, generosity and the stories people carry that we may never know. It’s a reminder to slow down, look a little closer and truly see the person in front of us.

Maybe that’s why it feels so connected to what I’m building with Styled Reverie. Clothing may be where some of our conversations begin, but the real work has always been about people💗helping women feel seen, understood and a little more like themselves again.

I loved this book so much that I want to pass that feeling along. I’m giving away a copy of Theo of Golden to one of you. When you finish it, My only request is you’ll pass it along to someone who might need it too.

To enter, leave a comment telling me about a kindness you’ve received, witnessed or given that stayed with you. 💗

When was the last time you slowed down enough to listen to the wind?

I took this past week off to reconnect with myself, spend time creating and simply play in art in Madison, Indiana

We live in a world that constantly tells us to keep going to work, plan, produce and figure out what comes next. But sometimes the very thing we need most is to stop.

Self-care doesn’t always require a reservation, a purchase or an elaborate plan. Sometimes it’s sitting outside beneath a tree, closing your eyes and listening to the wind. It costs nothing, yet it can give us so much.

This week reminded me that slowing down isn’t the same as standing still. Sometimes the quiet is exactly where renewed creativity, fresh perspective and a clearer sense of direction begin.

I’m heading home feeling more grounded, more inspired and ready for what’s ahead.

I made this mixed media piece many years ago at an art retreat in New York.

For years, I kept it tucked away but never completely out of sight. I always meant to frame it, but time escapes us and “someday” kept becoming another day.

When I moved into my new studio, I finally framed it and gave it a home.

Then I noticed this little sentence tucked into the bottom corner:

“I think we all get the chance to do a little rebuilding at some point in our lives.”

Of all the words I chose back then, these might mean the most now.

Because we hear rebuilding and assume something must have fallen apart.

But sometimes we rebuild simply because we’ve changed.

Maybe something that once fit your life doesn’t anymore.

Maybe you love parts of what you’re leaving behind and still know it’s time for something different.

Maybe everyone thinks you’re brave while privately you’re wondering what the hell you’re doing.

Maybe you’re excited and scared. Grieving and hopeful. Maybe you miss what was without wanting it back.

I know I do.

I miss my store. The women, the conversations, the clothes and the rhythm of it.

And I also know I want something different for Styled Reverie.

I’m building toward a bigger vision while looking for the right place to bring it together. A place of my own with the freedom to create, gather, host and grow into what comes next.

I haven’t found it yet.

I don’t have every detail figured out. And despite what it might look like, I absolutely do not have my s**t together all the time. 😂

Maybe you’re rebuilding something nobody else even realizes you’re rebuilding.

Your career. Your confidence. A relationship. Your dreams. Yourself.

You don’t have to hate the chapter you’re leaving to be ready for another one.

And you don’t have to know exactly what you’re building before you begin.

Funny how something I created all those years ago had words waiting for me when I needed them.

And right above them:

“and she continued.” 💗

I made this mixed media piece many years ago at an art retreat in New York.

For years, I kept it tucked away but never completely out of sight. I always meant to frame it, but time has a funny way of escaping us and “someday” kept becoming another day.

When I moved into my new studio, I finally framed it and gave it a home.

And then I noticed this little sentence tucked into the bottom corner.

“I think we all get the chance to do a little rebuilding at some point in our lives.”

Of all the words I chose back then, these might mean the most to me now.

Because I think we hear the word rebuilding and assume something must have fallen apart.

But maybe not.

Sometimes we rebuild simply because we’ve changed.

Maybe something that once fit your life doesn’t anymore.

Maybe you love parts of what you’re leaving behind and still know it’s time for something different.

Maybe everyone around you thinks you’re incredibly brave, while privately you’re wondering what the hell you’re doing.

Maybe you’re excited and scared.

Maybe you’re grieving and hopeful.

Maybe you miss what was without actually wanting it back.

I think more of us live in that messy middle than we admit.

I know I do.

I miss my store. I miss the women, the conversations, the clothes, and the everyday rhythm of it more than I probably say.

And at the same time, I know I want something different for Styled Reverie.

I’m building toward a bigger vision and looking for the right place to eventually bring it all together. A place of my own with parking and freedom to create. A place for beautiful clothing, yes, but also gathering, learning, hosting, conversations, experiences and all the things I’ve imagined Styled Reverie could become.

I haven’t found that place yet.

I don’t have every detail figured out.

And despite what it might look like from the outside, I absolutely do not have my s**t together all the time. 😂

I’m figuring it out while I’m living it.

Maybe you are too.

Maybe you’re rebuilding something right now that nobody else even realizes you’re rebuilding.

Your career. Your confidence. Your home. A relationship. Your dreams. Yourself.

You don’t have to hate the chapter you’re leaving to be ready for another one.

And you don’t have to know exactly what you’re building before you’re allowed to begin.

Funny how something I created all those years ago could have words waiting for me when I finally needed them.

And right above them, another tiny phrase:

and she continued. 💗🌸

The door is open today from 1 to 6p, and I would love for you to come see what I’ve been creating in these offices. 🌸

Styled Reverie looks different than it did before. It’s smaller, more personal, a little unconventional, and honestly, that may be what makes it so special.

You can stop in to shop the newest pieces, try things on, ask me for help putting something together, or simply peek around and see how this new studio works.

If you’ve been curious about a Seedwork Session™, we can talk about that too. There’s no awkward sales pitch and no expectation that you need to book one today. I’ll simply show you what it is, who it’s for, and how it can help when getting dressed and shopping.

No appointment is needed for Open Studio. Come alone, bring a friend, stay for five minutes, or settle in for a while.

And because I’m genuinely excited to welcome you into this new chapter, I have a free little gift for everyone who visits today, while they last.

Open Studio | 1 to 6 PM
