In observance of Labor Day, The EPICENTER will be closed on Monday, September 7th.

This Labor Day, we pause to honor and remember the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice of workers everywhere β€” including so many in our own EPICENTER community. πŸ™

We'll be back and ready to serve our neighbors starting Tuesday, September 8th. Enjoy the holiday with family and friends β€” see you soon! ⭐

Moments like this are why we do what we do. 🧑

When Kevin walks into the food pantry, we don't just want him to leave with groceries β€” we want him to feel known. Seen. Cared for. That's what empowerment really looks like: not a hand-out, but a hand extended, again and again, until it starts to feel like home.

We're so grateful for neighbors like Kevin who are willing to share their story with us. It's a gift every time someone trusts us enough to let us into their journey β€” and it reminds us why this work matters, one relationship at a time.

This is what community looks like. This is what home feels like. πŸ™

Loving our neighbors, one meal at a time. πŸ’š

At The EPICENTER, caring for our community isn't just something we say β€” it's something we live out, week after week. Last year alone, that looked like:

πŸ“¦ 71,800 lbs of food distributed through our pantries and monthly giveaways
🀝 10,000 neighbors served
πŸ’΅ $95,000 in free groceries provided to families right here in our community

Behind every one of those numbers is a face, a family, a story. And in 2026, we're continuing this work β€” because no one should have to choose between groceries and other basic needs.

If you know someone who could use a hand, or you're looking for a way to give back, we'd love to have you be part of this. πŸ’š

EPIC Connect 2026 β€” in the books! πŸ™Œ

On Friday, August 21, we partnered with APGFCU and Harford Mutual Insurance Group to connect our neighbors with services... all in one place, all for FREE! From eye exams and dental screenings to food pantry access, housing resources, job resources, recovery help, record expungements, giveaways, and so much more β€” our community showed up big.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers who gave their time and hearts to make this day possible, and to every vendor who partnered with us to bring these resources directly to our neighbors. This annual event only happens because of you.

We are always so thankful to be part of a community that takes care of its own. Here's to another year of EPIC Connect! πŸ’™

Stories like this are a reminder that kindness reaches farther than we realize. πŸ’š

We’re so grateful to see people connecting with our mission β€” even from hundreds of miles away. What started as someone discovering Hidden Gems online turned into real support for families in our community.

This is what the village looks like: people showing up, giving generously, and helping make sure neighbors have access to food, clothing, and essential support.

Take a moment to read this story, leave some encouragement, and consider how you can be part of the impact through donating, shopping, or sharing. Every act of generosity matters. πŸ’š

He's never met the families we serve.
He lives hundreds of miles away.

And still β€” he showed up.

Our mission doesn't stop at county lines. πŸ’š

Recently a man living in Massachusetts was browsing eBay when he stumbled across Hidden Gems β€” our online thrift store. He noticed we were listed as a charity, visited our website, and the same day sent a donation with a note we'll never forget:

"No one should go hungry or lack the right clothes, especially in winter. Thank you for helping the people society too often forgets."

That's the village in action.

Hidden Gems exists to give quality items a second life β€” and every sale directly funds food, clothing, and programs for families right here in our community.

Do you have jewelry, watches, or gently loved items sitting in storage?

One donation. One Saturday. Real impact for your neighbors.

Drop off at Tabitha's House or visit the link in bio to learn more. πŸ“¦

It takes a village. We're grateful you're part of ours.
