🌺🌺Job Opportunity: Part-Time Farm Assistant🌺🌺

We are hiring a seasonal part-time assistant for the summer.

**Schedule:**
- Two days a week, possibly three later in the season
- Hours: 7 AM to 11 AM

**Requirements:**
- Reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic
- Comfortable working outdoors
- Ability to lift 30 pounds
- Physically able to bend, walk, and perform manual tasks

**Responsibilities:**
- Weeding garden beds and greenhouses
- Watering all planted areas as needed
- Harvesting flowers and preparing orders for delivery
- Making bouquets
- Assisting customers
- Prepping and assisting with planting beds

I love sharing tips and tricks that work well for me on the farm because I know how challenging it can be to grow things in our area! When I discover something effective, I can't wait to spread the word.

Last fall, my friend Tracy from Sowthankful Farms opened my eyes to the incredible world of fungi. Mycorrhizal fungi are amazing little helpers that form a partnership with plant roots. Essentially, the plant provides the fungi with sugars from photosynthesis, and in return, the fungi act like tiny extensions of the roots, helping the plants absorb more water and essential nutrients. It truly is a fascinating and magical process! I’ve been using the powdered fungi mixed with water as a soil drench or even dunking my plant plugs into the mixture before planting. And guess what? It really works!

In our dry and windy climate, it’s super important for our plants to get enough hydration and establish themselves properly. Just check out the picture below of a black tip wheat that I started on May 2nd and transplanted into the cutting gardens today—exciting progress!

Hey there! I’m excited to share my thoughts about daisies with you! 🌼 While they might not be native to our stunning state, these little flowers have proven to be tough contenders among the plants I’ve grown since moving here.

This is their second season in my perennial beds, and let me tell you, they’ve thrived! Surviving our dry winters and braving the relentless wind and heat, these daisies have doubled in size, and I’ve only watered them once this winter! They keep coming back year after year, and I can't help but adore them!

I have just three left for this season, and they’re primed for planting! I started them from seed last fall, and I can’t wait for them to spread joy in your garden!

I planted mine in a slightly amended bed (seriously, it’s mostly clay!), but all you need to do is make sure it drains well. Water them until you see new growth, and keep watering as needed during the growing season.

So why not shake things up a bit? Add some fun and happiness to your garden with these delightful daisies! You won't regret it! 🌼✨
