🐶🔥 Hot Asphalt Awareness: Protect Your Pup’s Paws!
As temperatures rise, remember that asphalt heats up much faster than the air around us.
When it’s 86°F outside, pavement can reach 135°F or more — hot enough to cause serious burns in under a minute.
💡 Use the 7-Second Rule:
Press the back of your hand against the pavement for 7 seconds.
If it’s too hot for you, it’s too hot for your dog’s paws!
🚶♀️ Tips for Safe Summer Walks:
Walk early or late when surfaces are cooler.
Stick to grass or shaded paths.
Use protective booties if you must walk on asphalt.
Check paws regularly for redness or blisters.
Let’s keep our furry friends safe and comfortable this summer! ❤️🐾
