Swan here! Today is an important day for us here at The Raven and the Swan. Please join me in wishing a very Happy Birthday to Lesa, our very own Raven of The Raven and the Swan🖤
If you know our Raven, you know she was never meant to simply walk through this life.
She notices it. She feels it. She questions it, investigates it, turns it over in her hands, and somehow manages to find the little bit of magic hiding where everyone else might have walked right past.
And maybe that’s one of the things I love most about her. She sees things differently.
She can look at an old, forgotten object and see a story. She can find beauty in the strange, the weathered, the imperfect, and the unexpected. She collects treasures, yes, but I think what she’s really collecting are moments, stories, possibilities, and little pieces of magic.
She is clever and curious, fiercely independent, wonderfully mischievous, and just chaotic enough to keep life interesting.
She follows those little sparks of inspiration.
She trusts that strange pull toward something beautiful. She jumps first and figures out the landing later, usually pulling me along for the ride!
And somehow, even when the path makes absolutely no sense to anyone else, she finds a way to make it hers. There is something wonderfully rare about a person who never quite stops wondering “What if?”
That is our Raven.
A little mysterious. A little wild. A little chaotic. Soft-hearted beneath all those feathers. And endlessly, unapologetically curious.

So today, we celebrate more than another trip around the sun. We celebrate you.
The way you make ordinary days more interesting.
The way your imagination can turn the smallest thing into an adventure.
The way you find beauty where others don't think to look.
The way you chase the things that make your heart light up.
The way you bring your own particular kind of magic into the lives of the people lucky enough to know you.
I hope this next year gives some of that magic back to you. I hope it brings you unexpected adventures, beautiful discoveries, ridiculous laughter, quiet moments that mean more than they should, and plenty of shiny things that simply have to come home with you.
I hope you never lose that curious little spark. Never stop following the strange paths. Never stop collecting the treasures. Never stop dreaming up impossible things. And never stop being the wonderfully complicated, fiercely independent, tender-hearted, slightly mischievous Raven that we love.
