The Bookworm of Edwards

The Bookworm of Edwards locally flavored, community minded, independently owned In 1997, a 700-square-foot store opened in Edwards Village Center. Want our store to carry your book?

Today, the Bookworm operates in a corner space in the busy Riverwalk shopping center, but the store came from humble beginnings. The Bookworm of Edwards was founded in 1996 in a retro-fitted van that traveled between coffee shops selling new books to “down-valley” readers. In 2002, Nicole Magistro was hired as a part-time bookseller, and, in 2005, she bought out one of the original owners. In 2007, the Bookworm moved to its current Riverwalk location (and opened the cafe), and it expanded again in 2010! Here's how! For emerging authors hoping to get their books in the store, please read the following guidelines regarding our policies. http://www.bookwormofedwards.com/information-for-local-authors

📊 Are you or someone you know a business owner or in a position of leadership? Do you want to learn how to DO DEI RIGHT? Then check out this new book from author Michelle Began Feferman!

🗺️ Feferman offers a transformative roadmap for embedding DEI into the DNA of your organization with DO DEI RIGHT. The book guides leaders step-by-step from laying the foundation for a culture of psychological safety to operationalizing DEI across every facet of the organization, and ultimately to achieving sustained, continuous improvement.

📈 Feferman demonstrates that companies centered on DEI cultivate more engaged, productive, and loyal employees while outperforming competitors in revenue, profitability, innovation, and market reach. This success stems from ensuring every individual feels seen, heard, and valued — not within a broken system assumed to be fair, but within one intentionally built to be equitable, which leads to a more dynamic and resilient organization.

☔️ What’s better to read on a cozy, rainy, fall day than a story set in the beautiful outdoors?

🐺 Something is changing inside Dan Nowak. A wildlife officer in the high country of Colorado, he is drawn to the land and the animals he protects. An unbidden crack in his psyche pulls him headlong into the experience of the wild. As he moves closer to nature, he begins to question his place within it—and the responsibility he bears. Set against the dramatic backdrops of Colorado and Yellowstone, Skin explores the tensions between modern life and the fragile beauty of the wild.
