Today’s Featured Artist Friday is Macone Clay Lamps! Macone Clay consists of Michael Macone, his two sons, Miles and Clayton, and his son-in-law Dan Temple, all based in Wisconsin.
“We melt glass over an extruded clay vase that is held by a distressed wood base. We make the shades from Michael’s art which is printed on heavy archival art paper and UV coated to last a lifetime without fading.”

“Rebecca Lowery was born and raised in rural Georgia, USA. She began her love of clay in college where she was an apprentice in the Berea College pottery for four years and received her BA in studio art with an emphasis in sculpture. After graduation, she taught, developed and created ceramics in Kentucky, Maryland and Indiana. In her current studio in Bloomington, Indiana, she creates whimsical handmade pottery and sculpture displayed at art exhibitions, galleries and festivals throughout the year.”

This Friday’s Featured Artist is Christine Courchaine! “She is the artist and owner behind East Twin Arts, a self-taught mixed media artist based in Northeast Wisconsin. Her current body of work blends expressive charcoal drawing with layered acrylic paint, bold marker details, and luminous gold leaf pens, all brought together with striking black charcoal accents. Many of her recent pieces are created on upcycled cabinet doors and other repurposed surfaces, giving discarded materials new life through art.

In addition to her 2D work, Christine creates a distinctive ornament collection. Each piece begins with a charcoal sketch and evolves through acrylic paint, sculpted clay elements, and carefully selected embellishments such as rhinestones and gems.”

This 14.5 x 3” decorative bowl titled: THE RIDGES (by Renee Schwaller) will be auctioned off via silent auction from July 23-October 15th at Off the Wheel Pottery. The highest bidder will be announced on October 15th and all the proceeds from the sale go to The Ridges Sanctuary in Baileys Harbor. Please stop by during open hours to place your bid.
