Starting this weekend, we are putting almost everything ON SALE! Trees and shrubs 30% off - perennials, grasses and ferns 50% off - select plants, including our Ugly Ducklings, with even bigger discounts. Inventory looks pretty good right now, but some varieties are selling out fast, so don't delay.

Garden Center is open every day through October 31, 9 AM to 4 PM.

We've got the blues! Blue Sage, Salvia azurea, is a new plant for us this year, and we love it. Gorgeous blue flowers bloom for an extended period of time in late summer and fall, and the aromatic foliage is unattractive to deer and rabbits. Blue Sage does tend to grow tall and likes to flop, so plant it together with grasses and other plants that will support it.

We only have a few of this lovely plant left in the Garden Center, so come out soon and see it for yourself. We are open every day, 9 AM to 4 PM, through October 31.

Fall planting tip:
Most plants in the nursery are looking pretty awful this time of year, dropping leaves as they go into dormancy. So, if you're shopping for plants and they don't look great on top, go ahead and pop the plant out of the pot so that you can see the roots. If the roots are healthy, your plant will be just fine, even if the top growth looks ratty.

Thinking about starting a home orchard? We can help! We have apples (Cortland, Mcintosh and Honeycrisp), tart cherries (Montmorency and Sweet Cherry Pie), sweet cherries (Stella) and peaches (Reliance). Get them planted this fall and you could have fruit as soon as next spring!
