Im sure that everyone that has been to our greenhouse has seen these metal bench tags throughout our greenhouses. These were one of my mom's pet projects. I have always loved the idea of walking up to the bench and learning something about the plants before buying them. The only drawback to the current design, that I can see, is they might not contain enough information to make an informed decision. That brings me to the questions I need to ask before I take on this endeavor of changing them. I would really appreciate your input on this, so I can decide how to best meet everyone's needs. The questions are:
1) if the tags contained QR codes, would you use them to find out more about the plants or do the current tags provide enough information ?
2) if you did use the QR code, what information would you like shown?

For those that may have mistaken my last post as the final post for the greenhouse i would like to apologize. We are not closed for good, but just for the season. We have every intention on being open next year (2027) and have already started planning for what new items we will be offering. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I thought it would be a cool ending to the season having dad take down the open signs (which we do ever year), he's been involved in the greenhouse since he was 12

Werkheiser's Green Acres has official completed their 68th season. We are now closed. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers, old and new, for their continued patronage. We couldn't keep doing what we enjoy doing without you. Thank you! We hope you all have a fantastic and productive summer nursing your gardens.

As the end of the month, and our season, rapidly approaches, we would like to remind everyone that we have lots of flowers, veggies, and hanging baskets left to choose from. We are open daily from 8am to 6pm, if you'd like to stop and see if there are any plants you'd like to "rescue from the shelter".
