From DOWN HOME MUSIC FOUNDATION: On Saturday, September 12, we'll host a day of in-store DJ sets from local selectors
for Farm to Turntable!!
DJs for the Day:
Jazmin Morelos
Jazmin Morelos is a bilingual radio host and producer based in the Bay Area, known for Behind the
Escena on KPOO 89.5 FM. This will be her first time behind the turntables instead of the mic. Her crates
jump from The Doors to The Monkees to Son Rompe Pera and straight into cumbia as no genre is off
limits. Morelos is a long time Bay Area music scene documentarian, and her passion continues to fuel
her current projects.
Eli "Loca2Far" Reyes
Eli “Loca2Far” Reyes was born and raised in California's Central Valley, absorbing its deep-rooted
heritage of Latin music and cultural resilience. After relocating to the Bay Area in 2007, she has helped
cultivate microcosms of belonging for other artists and subcultures in the Bay Area. She is currently the
charismatic frontwoman in the psych-cumbia band RITMOS TROPICOSMOS and one-third of the
electronic synth band TROPISPHERE. Eli's DJ style is focused primarily on female artists who inspire
her vocal stylings and live sets. You'll hear everything from cumbia to soul, boogaloo to pop, and
experimental synth punk to early techno sounds from her tastefully curated vinyl collection.
Ricardo Tavarez
Ricardo Tavarez is a Bay Area poet, educator, digital creator, and documentarian who teaches Hayward
Unified School District and was a long-time host of the Pan Dulce Poets reading series in the Mission
District at La Reyna Bakery. Member of La Brigada, an arts collective that organizes the San Francisco
International Flor y Canto Literary Festival. Ricardo’s poetry and writing reflect on cultural dynamics,
music, and memory.

2:30–4:00 PM: Eli "Loca2Far" Reyes
4:00–5:30 PM: Ricardo Tavarez

Farm to Turntable – Saturday, August 15, 2026
Carolyn Wysinger has built a career bridging grassroots activism and municipal governance,
having served El Cerrito as both Councilmember and Mayor. For over two decades, she has
shaped LGBTQ visibility as an author, educator, and three-time President of San Francisco
Pride. Her political influence extends to the national stage as a California Democratic Party
Delegate and a Harris/Walz DNC representative, while her policy acumen was sharpened on San
Francisco's Economic Recovery Task Force.
DJ Bobby Cosmos is a highly regarded DJ and a true legend of the San Francisco music scene.
He is known for his deep expertise in Latin music, specializing in rare sounds from the '60s and
'70s, including Latin funk, boogaloo, cumbia, and rock Latino. As a dedicated vinyl DJ and
student of sound, he brings an authenticity that honors these musical genres. His sets are
beautifully curated and this Farm to Turntable is but a glimpse of his expertise.
Madelyncat was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona by music loving parents, and moved to the
Bay Area in 1976. Her music loves began with Classical and evolved to include Rock, Blues,
Jazz, and World music. Her first exposure to other music was the music of Mexico (à la radio),
followed by Brazilian, Fado, Salsa, Reggae, Tango, and more. Nothing is more exciting to her
than hearing something new. Her set is expected to turn ears and heads towards the DJ booth.
DJ Set Times: 1:00–2:30 PM - Carolyn Wysinger 2:30–4:00 PM - DJ Bobby Cosmos 4:00–5:30
