As I get ready to close the doors on this sweet journey that has been Fleur de Lu, I can’t help but be filled with gratitude! I’ve learned about creating with my hands (so satisfying!) photography and lighting, how to use different technologies, how to post on social media (which I loathe), how to engage strangers at a pop-up, and more. I failed so often and felt ridiculous more often. But I came out a little braver. My friends have taught me so much, cheered me on, and bought jewelry from me even when it was in the rough first stages, and even when they didn’t need it. ☺️ As I wrap things up, it feels a little sad, but mostly…mostly, I’m just super grateful to have thrown myself headfirst into something and grown. There’s nothing more joyful than discovering and learning new things. Thanks for coming along for the ride!

Londonium first began as a Roman settlement around 43 AD. Since then it’s had a colorful and complicated 2,000 year history, surviving fires, plagues, and wars. London has also hosted some of the greats! We saw the Anchor pub, where Shakespeare himself frequented, went to the National Gallery and saw Monet, Van Gogh, Cezanne, and other favorites up close (dream come true), rode the London Eye, and my boy packed around a sport coat all day to made the famous Beatles walk. What an incredible city! So fun to see again after nearly 30 years!
