I recently came across a nicely detailed Southern Pacific 4-8-8-2 AC-4 model and am trying to determine who made it. I first assumed it was a Balboa model, but the Balboa examples I found online did not have the bell and marker lights mounted on top of the cab. This model also comes in a blue box, whereas the AC-4 models I saw online were packaged in red boxes.

I looked at images of the Max Gray AC-4 as well, but those did not match the details of my model either. Could this be a later Balboa release with factory-installed marker lights and bell, or were these details possibly added by a previous owner?

Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.

We recently acquired a small collection of HO scale brass locomotives. The collection includes a nice assortment of models from Key, Overland, PFM, Westside, and Sunset. Most of the locomotives were packed in their original boxes; however, a handful were not, so we need some help identifying a few of the models.

Shown here is a 2-8-4 that we need assistance with. Does anyone in the group know who manufactured this model and which railroad it represents?
