Group: Dungeons in Blue

🎞️ “Beneath the Dune, Something Stirred…”

The desert wind howls across Yatalashaa Almanzil as the heroes return—children rescued, villagers mourning, and the sands whispering of new dangers.

Night falls.
Three wolves prowl the dunes.
One bears a rider.
A hobgoblin silhouette watches… and buries something beneath the moonlit sand.

The village trembles.
The heroes rise.

🔥 “Four Volunteers. One Dune. A Secret Waiting to Strike.”
Grom stands like a fortress of iron.
Dwolor sharpens his axe, muttering dwarven oaths.
Zelda’s eyes narrow, catching every shift of the wind.
Stephanie, trembling but resolute, grips her spear.

The dune begins to vibrate.
The sand ripples like water.
And then—

A giant spider erupts from below, a goblin clinging to its back, shrieking triumph as it lunges for the orphan.

Steel flashes.
Magic hums.
The creature falls, crushed beneath the fury of the party.

A satchel spills open:
A flawless tourmaline, gleaming like frozen starlight…
And ten black silver coins, cold as the grave.

🌑 “The Cave of Wolves Awaits.”
The heroes press on.
Three goblin wolf riders guard the entrance, snarling in the half‑light.

Inside—
An underground river glows faintly.
A dire wolf drinks.
A goblin sleeps.

Grom strikes first.
But the wolf escapes.
The goblin flees.
And the cave awakens.

Goblins swarm.
A hobgoblin bellows orders.
The chamber becomes a storm of teeth, steel, and blood.

When the dust settles…
The moneylender lies still.
The orphan’s small form does not rise.
Stephanie kneels beside them, shaking.

And deeper in the cave…
Dwolor lifts his head.
He smells gold.
A hoard.
A dragon’s ransom.
Five tunnels stretch into darkness

One filled with the rumbling breaths of sleeping dire wolves.

The adventure is far from over.

🌵 Into the Desert After the Lost Children
The heroes discovered that goblins were still driving the missing children deeper into the sands. With urgency rising, the party gathered six peasants from the village of Yatalashaa Almanzil and set out to rescue them.

Despite the peasants’… less‑than‑heroic battlefield grace, the group managed to surprise the goblin watch, seizing an early advantage before the real fight began.

⚔️ Two more Waves of Goblins — and a Brutal Fight
The battle was fierce and came in two crashing waves.

Highlights:

- Grom’s critical hits were the stuff of legend — two massive crits that carved through the goblin ranks.
- Dwaler delivered a devastating critical to a hobgoblin, turning a dangerous moment into a heroic one.
- Two peasants fell in the fighting, giving their lives in the rescue attempt.

Then came the darkest moment:
Korvag the Slave‑Driver, a hobgoblin commander, revealed herself holding a child hostage. Sir Rafael attempted a desperate long‑range shot to end her threat… but the arrow struck the hostage instead.

Korvag fled, killing another child as she escaped, while her goblins had already slain three more to deter pursuit.
The party pressed on, cutting down the remaining monsters and ending the slaughter.

🗺️ A Map, a Cave, and a New Threat
Searching the bodies, the party found a map pointing to a nearby cave.
It referenced:

- Grazzok the Wolf‑Strider, a hobgoblin of rank
- Water sources for wolves
- Space designated for treasure

A clear sign that the enemy force is organized, supplied, and preparing for something bigger.

The heroes escorted the surviving children and peasants back to Yatalashaa Almanzil to regroup and plan their next move.
