We are excited to be part of VMA's Trunk or Treat event, and we're ready to help make Halloween a little sweeter!

We'll be there handing out candy to all the little ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and villains who stop by. Whether your kids are dressed as their favorite comic book characters or showing off a costume all their own, we can't wait to see them!

We love being part of our local community and getting opportunities to celebrate with families. Events like these are what make this community so special, and we're happy to join in on the Halloween fun!

Make sure to stop by and say hello to the Etown Comics crew while you're collecting your treats this Saturday at 5 PM!

Who's getting their costumes ready? Tell us what your little trick-or-treaters are dressing up as this year!

Marvel Comics is making it easier for comic fans to identify what's inside those covers, and Max is HERE FOR IT!

With artist and variant information being added to comic book's near the barcode, collectors have another helpful way to identify the editions they're picking up. For anyone who loves tracking down specific covers, following their favorite artists, or making sure they have the right variant, those extra details can make a big difference!

If you're a collector who pays attention to cover artists, variant editions, and all the little details that make each issue special, you know why this is exciting news.

And let's be honest, half the fun of collecting is knowing exactly what you're adding to your collection!

MAX WANTS TO KNOW:

Do you collect comics based on the story, the cover artist, the variant cover, or ALL OF THE ABOVE?

Let us know in the comments! And next time you're at Etown Comics, show us which covers and artists you're hunting for!

COOL COMIC FACT: BLUE BEETLE HAS ONE OF THE MOST UNUSUAL ORIGINS IN DC COMICS!

Did you know that Blue Beetle wasn't originally a DC Comics character?

The original Blue Beetle, Dan Garrett, debuted in 1939 under Fox Comics! The character later passed through Charlton Comics before DC acquired the rights to him in the 1980s.

But here's where things get really interesting! The Blue Beetle most modern fans recognize, Jaime Reyes, discovers a mysterious alien scarab that attaches itself to his body and transforms into a powerful suit of armor.

The scarab gives Jaime incredible weapons, protection, and the ability to adapt to dangerous situations. The catch? The alien technology sometimes has plans of its own!

Jaime first appeared in Infinite Crisis #3 in 2005 before starring in his own ongoing series.

From a Golden Age hero to an alien-powered teenager, Blue Beetle proves that comic book legacies can evolve in some incredible ways!

LET'S TALK COMICS!

Which version of Blue Beetle is your favorite: Dan Garrett, Ted Kord, or Jaime Reyes?

Drop your answer in the comments, and tell us which DC or Marvel character we should feature next!
