After my last post celebrating 10,000 followers, I kept thinking there was something I hadn’t said.

The truth is…this milestone wasn’t easy.

This year has been one of the hardest seasons of my life. I nearly divorced my husband. My youngest had complications after spinal surgery, so I’ve become a caregiver while also learning to manage my own health issues. Then we added a puppy to the family, and let’s just say she has become a full time job all on her own.

Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I let this little shop slip through my fingers.

If you’ve wondered why I haven’t been showing up the way I used to, that’s why.

The frustrating part is that Instagram doesn’t care why you’ve been absent. When you stop posting consistently, it stops showing your content. So while 10,000 followers is something I’m incredibly proud of, it doesn’t mean 10,000 people actually see my posts.

That’s why I need your help.

If you’ve ever smiled at one of my creations, purchased from my shop, or simply enjoy following along, would you help me get this little business back in front of people again? Every comment, every share, every saved post, every bit of engagement tells Instagram that my content is worth showing to someone new.

This isn’t about becoming an influencer. It’s about keeping a dream alive and continuing to earn supplemental income doing something I truly love.

I know celebrating follower counts can feel a little cringe these days. We hear so much about vanity metrics, algorithms, and “numbers don’t matter.”

But here’s the thing…

I’m not an influencer. I’m not chasing likes for the sake of popularity.

I’m a small business owner.

Every single person who chooses to follow The Magic Feather Shoppe represents an opportunity for my work to be seen by someone who truly loves what I create. Every follow increases the chance that my products reach the right customer. Every share, comment, save, and purchase helps support my family.

This business has always been more than a hobby. It’s supplemental income that helps our household while allowing me to do something I genuinely love. So yes…10,000 followers is a really big deal to me.

This year marks the Semiquincentennial… 250 years of independence. 🇺🇸

Two and a half centuries ago, a group of people made a bold decision to break away from a king and build something entirely new… a country rooted in the idea that power belongs to the people.

It wasn’t perfect then, and it isn’t perfect now. But the foundation they created gave us something rare… a voice, a choice, and the ability to shape what comes next.

That alone is worth honoring.

Hosted by , this beautiful community event celebrates Asian history, culture, artists, entertainment, local makers, and small businesses from all around our area.

I have a last minute and very exciting update to share with you. I was just invited to participate in the Cherry Blossom Festival hosted by The Creative Space, and I could not be more excited to say yes.

This beautiful spring festival celebrates the season and will feature local makers, artists, and small businesses. It is always such a charming event and the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning in Old Town Elk Grove. 🌸
