I’m Jamie, the hands, heart, and hook behind Hex & Hook Crochet.

I learned to crochet as a child from my grandmother, and years later, I returned to it during a difficult season of life. What began as a way to manage stress quickly grew into a business rooted in love, creativity, and whimsy. At Hex & Hook, I handcraft plushies and characters inspired by fantasy, folklore, and the magical world of Hexmere, a realm I created to bring even more story and meaning to my work. Each piece is carefully made with high-quality yarns, designed to be both durable and delightfully huggable. You’ll often find me vending at local artisan markets, designing new plushies, or writing patterns to help other makers bring magic to life with their own hooks. Whether you’re here to collect a cuddly creature or to crochet your own, I’m so glad you’ve found your way into this enchanted little corner of the fiber world.

It's always so hard to decide which bat will be the perfect bat for Hex & Hook. There are literally hundreds of amazing bat patterns by so many talented creators. But the bat that I always come back to is this one. This is Baron the bat, and I simply adore him. Maybe its his wings. Maybe because he's so little and cute. Or maybe because I love to accessorize him. Regardless the reason, I think he's the perfect little bat, and I hope that you love him as much as I do.

It seems like summer doesn't want to let us go yet. While my heart yearns for grey, rainy days ahead of us (I hope!) all of the bright sunshine and heat has inspired me for one more summertime make. And look at them! Are these the prettiest, girliest snails or what???

I will try to get these up on the website later this evening. I think they would be the perfect gift for someone that loves pink, girly, coquette things (like...maybe yourself??😊)

This year has been my frog year- I'm not sure why, but I just can't resist all the cute little frogs. So of course, a frog mage was a given for me. I had to make him!

One of our most popular things this past weekend was our murder of baby crows. If we had realized how much love they would get we would have brought twice as many!

The Folsom Renaissance Faire has come and gone and we had an amazing time! (I'm still recovering from the weekend!) We were blessed with lots of love from the lord's & ladies in attendance and have sold out once again. This Rogue Raven (pattern by Millie ) was one of the first items to find his forever castle.

Out of all of the plushies we're offering this weekend, this is definitely my favorite! Everything about him is sheer perfection! His chunkiness, his little footsies, his mushroom wizard hat! I might cry when he goes to his forever home!😭

This is the second time I have made this dragon, and I still love him. The first time I made him, he was immediately dragonnapped by my daughter. I have watched this dragon as he has been displayed, been a companion, cuddled and napped with, even ridden by our Elf on the Shelf (Sarah) who had Targaryen dreams. So I feel like I can confidently say that he is the perfect dragon- impressive enough to show off, but also perfect to watch over you and protect while you sleep!

He will be available this weekend at the Folsom Renaissance Faire. He will be the only large dragon with us, so if you love him, make sure that you find the Hex & Hook booth!
