What an awesome day at Cup of Joy in DeMotte! ā˜•ā¤ļø

Today, every drink was free with donations accepted to support the Johnathon Samā€™s Cannonball Foundation, and the community showed up in a big way. The line was backed up to the door the entire time I was there!

I had the privilege of being ā€œthe bean guyā€ representing Rescue Coffee Roasters, and it was amazing to see so many people enjoying great coffee while supporting a great cause.

A huge thank you to the entire Cup of Joy team for their heart for the community and for creating opportunities to make a difference. Days like today are a reminder that coffee is more than just a drinkā€”it brings people together, starts conversations, and helps support causes that matter.

Weā€™re grateful for partners like Cup of Joy who continue to support both their community and the mission of Adult & Teen Challenge through Rescue Coffee Roasters.

Great coffee. Great people. Great cause.

Today was special.

My daughter, Carley Jo, came to visit me at Rescue Coffee Roastersā€¦ and for the first time, she got to see what I do now.

She saw the roaster.
She held the bags.
She heard the story.

But more than anythingā€¦
She saw the change.

Sheā€™s seen me at my worstā€”
in addiction, running hard, living a life that led nowhere good.

Back then, I used knowledge and skills for things that were against the lawā€¦ things that brought destruction.

Todayā€¦ God is using some of that same drive, that same hands-on mindsetā€¦ for something completely different.

What an incredible blessing to finally share something thatā€™s been on my heart for a whileā€¦

We are officially partnered with River Life Fellowship šŸ™Œ

Pastor Andy (pictured center) and the church family at River Life Fellowship are not only serving Rescue Roasters coffee, but they are also taking orders and supporting the mission of Adult & Teen Challengeā€”helping bring hope and restoration to lives that need it most. ā˜•ā¤ļø

On the right is our Executive Director, Matt Slabaughā€”a man God used in a powerful way during some of the darkest seasons of my life. Both of these men have played a vital role in who I am today, and I am beyond grateful for their leadership, faith, and obedience to God.

This partnership isnā€™t just about coffeeā€¦
Itā€™s about life transformation.
Itā€™s about second chances.

Hereā€™s one of the announcements I told you aboutā€¦ and thereā€™s more to come šŸ‘€

I had the chance to connect with Carlos from Loro Verde Importers, and weā€™ve already started working together on a small amount of beans ā€” with plans to grow this in the future.

This is just the beginning.
God is opening doors, and weā€™re looking to expand and broaden what Rescue Roasters is doing.
