Here is another really cool recording we’re discovering from our Warehouse every week , Lots of Great bands on Vinyl that somehow got overlooked from the early 80’s and 90’s when the CD began to overtake the LP in sales and Radio stations were asking only for CD’s for on-air play… Take this recording
Andreas Johnson – Electronic /House/Trance/Breakbeat. A Swedish Pop-Rock singer-Songwriter/Musician . his Discography includes 6 Studio albums , one Compilation and more than 30 singles and EP’s. His debut LP “Cottonfield Tales”(1997) marked his entry into music, though received limited International attention. The following album “Liebling”(1999) featured the single “Glorious” which received widespread success upon its re-release 1 year later in (2000) peaking in the top 10 of UK Singles Charts along w/ Italy and Sweden. This release includes the Original Album version and 5 separate Mixes /Dubs which lean toward Dance-Pop and Euro House, They showcase numerous styles; Electronica, House, Trance and Breakbeat - a UK Based style that quickly became infused w/Hardcore Rave/ Techno music, leading to faster More Complex (Jungle) music taken from Sampled Drum Breakdowns….. Sounds a Bit like Sampled U2…

Underworld – "Jumbo" Electronic/Techno/Experimental/Progressive House act formed by Rick Smith and Kari Hyde in 1987 after the breakup of their former group “Freur”. Known for their atmospheric, Progressive compositions w/ Hyde’s cryptic and ”Stream of Consciousness” lyrics. Their sound is a mixture of Techno, House, Drum and Bass and Experimental music… mixing traditional song writing w/ the use of “Found Material”, from overheard conversations, answering machines etc. etc. They took their name from a 1985 Horror film “Underworld”. 2 - 12" Discs UK Import Promo single Mint

Back then, people didn’t treat music like background noise while they stared at phones or folded laundry.

When a new album came out, you sat down and listened to it.

Really listened.

You studied the cover art. Read the lyrics. Debated the best songs. Argued about guitar solos. And for forty-five minutes, the stereo became the center of the universe.

Music wasn’t something happening in the background of life.

For a lot of people in the 70s… it WAS life.

TY GWYDR - – 12” 33 1/3 rpm EP Electronic, Acid House, Dub Techno, Left Field. British Import. Formed in 1989 spawned from offspring of Industrial Funk Pranksters “Traddodiad Ofnus” by Mark Lugg and Gareth Potter- Infused the Welsh Pop scene w/ the Club scene. Their name in Welsh means Greenhouse Extremely Rare !!!! ....We also feature an Extensive Classic Rock, Jazz, Classical, Folk, Country, Punk, Heavy Metal, Indie & Alt. Rock, Prog Rock etc. etc. etc… Come on in this is the place to Talk Music....... we’re here Saturdays 12- 6:00 PM and Wednesdays 2-7:00

Its mix of country influences, extended musicianship and radio-friendly songs helped broaden the group’s mainstream appeal.

“Ramblin’ Man” and the instrumental “Jessica” became two of the most recognizable recordings in the band’s catalog.
