Another memorable race due to poor course markings, signage that was wrong and volunteers who don't understand how mountain bike races work.

Hallie was a mess before race even started because she took a wrong turn on the course last year and was afraid to do the same this year. Luckily the Cat 2 racers had the only course that seemed to be marked properly all though sparsely. The Cat 3 racers were sent on to the Cat 2 course and instead of riding 6miles they rode 14ish! So without further ado the race!

Hallie once again raced Cat 2 and did smashingly well! She won her under 18 class and only finished a couple minutes behind her momma! Mandi also won her class and had a great race! Henry was supposed to do the Cat 3 course but unfortunately was directed on to the Cat 2 course. Thank goodness I was with him. He raced the longer 14 mile course and handled it with aplomb! He rode so well, managed his efforts and was flying on the twisty fast singletrack! By far the best ride I've ever done with Henry! He is such a tank!

All of team JBS raced well today with all team members landing on the podium!

We love the Arrowhead trails, that's what brings back to this venue year after year but if the course markings and race direction doesn't get better we won't be back.

Today was the best race of the year The Minetana XC! The Mower Basin trails are some of the best trails in the state not too mention the views aren't half bad!

Hallie decided to race Cat 2 today at the last minute. She found out that the cat 3 riders weren't doing the Hawks K**b trail and she wasn't having any of that. She was very nervous before the start due to the much longer distance but both mandi and I assured her she'd do just fine. She did better than just fine, she won the 18 and under race and only finished 4 minutes behind Mandi! She loved the longer distance and having more folks to race against! Henry had a great race today also. He finished second overall in the Cat 3 race! He crushed it! He focused for at least 10 minutes which is a huge win for Henry! Mandi finished first in the 35+ cat 2 class! Mandi had a very strong race especially on the slippery rocks and roots!

All of team JBS got on the podium today! Go TEAM! ❤️ 🔥 ❤️

Once again and put on an astounding event! The course was expertly marked with volunteers at all key intersections, the way it should be done!

Today was a RAD day! number 3 was today at Mountwood Park! has some AMAZING trails! Almost all singletrack is handbuilt and loads of fun! The trails are always in great shape thanks to all of the awesome volunteers in that area!

Hallie and Henry both had great races today! Hallie won her class and finished 3rd overall in Cat 3 race. Henry had 9 little fellas in his class today and he took home the W! Their buddy Harper won his class today and finished second overall in the Cat 3! WAY TO GO KIDDOS!

I raced today despite my on going hand issues. Probably not the smartest thing to do on my part but I'm not all that bright. My bike driving skills weren't real great today but I was climbing well. I finished second overall in the Cat 1 race and won the Pro class! Not too shabby for a one handed old man! Bike racing is addictive and I'm a bonafide addict!

All of team JBS raced well today with everyone landing on the podium!
