So I know Christmas in October is a bit controversial but I kind of didn't have a lot of choice in the matter. I have to head back to Maryland this week for a Celebration of life service for my father-in-law. By the time I get back next week, it will be a mad rush to get everything ready for Autumn Days. While we have technically just entered Autumn, I've already had requests for Christmas. Because I want those customers who come in regularly to have the first opportunity to look at it, I've decided to put it out now so that it will be here this weekend. It's far from everything we have but it's a start. With cottage core style in full effect, cozy Christmas with lots of decorations is sure to be big this year. Cheyenne will be here Friday and Saturday from 11 to 4.

Feeling blessed today! My mom turned 87 yesterday and I was able to drive up and spend two days with her, thanks to my sweet husband who is putting his social anxiety on the back burner and watching the shop today. :)

I'm also bringing down another great load and thought I would show my favorite piece. This mountain landscape is on natural layered pulp paper which adds depth and the trees are all stitched into the paper. I'll be driving back today so this won't be in the shop until tomorrow but there's loads of fresh inventory that I put out right before I left.

We have been asked over the years if we rent out space to vendors. Unfortunately, because we are only open two days a week, the answer has been no since we feel like we would be letting vendors down by not being open more often. We are hoping to change this one day but for now, we are fortunate enough to have a few understanding, patient, and flexible vendors who have entrusted us to sell their items. We now happily have Hobby Shop Charms, Clint's Cabinet of Wonder, Hem of His Garment Creations, Sissy's Soaps, and Peter McClintock's originals. I'm happy we have a space to share with these folks and welcome you all to come in and support these local creators and their businesses. Open Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 until 4:00.
