Ellenboro Tack & Repair This Amish Tack & Repair shop is now packing up and moving to Dexter, Kentucky. Thank you for supporting this business while they were in North Carolina!

The owner is JD Gingrich. His son, David Gingrich, is also a skilled craftsman and works in the shop part time. The business is Swartzentruber Amish owned and they do not use phones, electricity, or many other modern conveniences. The business is promoted by David Abbott of SB Marketing & Consulting with permission by the owner. JD and David are skilled in making and repairing all kinds of horse tack and nearly anything made from leather, nylon, or BioThane. JD has years of experience repairing saddles and can do anything from cleaning to seat changes, re-fleecing, restringing, and horn wrapping. They can also replace buckles and stirrup leather. The shop carries a limited supply of bridles, driving harnesses, horse bits, leads, used saddles, show chaps, saddle bags, pulling collars, and more. If you don't see something, request a price for having one custom made. You will find prices extremely reasonable. Please do not take photos of any of the Amish you see in and around the store. They don't mind if you use your phone in the shop or take pictures of items, but not Amish people.
