And with this final sale, we've closed Restorations in the Burg for good. Here are Tyler, Kaitlyn, Dalton and Kaitlyn (hope I got everyone's name correct) picking up their purchases; the last sales of our business. We had a fantastic final two days; lots and lots of customers showed up to insure we'd have very little left to donate.

It's been a blast for more than 3 1/2 years. Our heartfelt thanks to the community and our fine city of Ellensburg.

Big thanks to everyone who came by the store today! We exceeded our expectations by a mile and then some! Everyone was super patient, especially in the very beginning. We’ve pulled out some additional home decor items and whatnot to add to what didn’t get claimed today. If you missed us today, we’ll be opened tomorrow from 10 AM till about 3:30 PM.

We’re bringing in our remaining unrestored furniture items. A few of these pieces are bittersweet for us. We know we could have made them gorgeous, but did not get to them - for one reason or another. As part of our “store closing” effort, we offer up most of our remaining inventory for free.

* Most free items are first come, first serve.
* We have lots of shopping bags, but little or no packing materials for the breakables.
* I’m posting current pictures. The few items we are selling will be commented about on its picture.

We’re not done just yet. Turns out we’ll continue store operations till the end of August. We’ve sold many things at a heavily discounted price or gave away item for free. We’ll continue to empty our back stock of unrestored furniture and home decor items in the days and weeks ahead. Next week we’ll be closed. Our first open day in August will be Friday August 12th. We’ll be here tomorrow - normal business hours, closing out July.

We’ve sold this gorgeous china hutch this morning 🙂 As for remaining items, customers who drop by are being pleasantly surprised by the amount of items we’re giving away for FREE! Yes, for FREE! Some items I have to charge a nominal amount, but the majority of items can be had at no cost! If you’re in town, drop by. We still have nice home décor items as well as un-restored furniture we are trickling in. Stay tuned for more posts and pictures. Local purchase, local pickup only.

Moved some significant pieces out yesterday, with a few more remaining. Most notably our beautiful china hutch by Broyhill and this gorgeous Art Deco waterfall bedroom suite we’re consigning. As for the bedroom suite, it’s value is in its quality and quantity of matching suite items. We modestly valued the set at $4,000. But I’ll gladly present to the owners any reasonable offer. The Broyhill hutch can be purchased for $275. Its original new value was approx. $1,900.

In addition to these items, the store has lots of smallish items and home decor. Most remain inventory is BELOW yard sale pricing or less :-)

As we move closer to our official closing at the end of this month, we’re looking to discount nearly all remaining inventory. We have some furniture left - much is in need of TLC. The majority of our remaining items are the “home decor” stuff. You’d be surprised by just how little we’ll take for most items!

Who needs a car? I’ve delivered items to local businesses with a hand truck myself. Gus here lives just a few blocks away. First he hand trucked home a tall book shelf cabinet. Next load was a bench for his garden. Not a drop of gas was used!
