Beautiful Things

Beautiful Things Amniotic banding affects approximately 1 in 1,200 live births. It is also believed to be the cause of 178 in 10,000 miscarriages. On September 14, 2009. PO.

Amniotic band syndrome (ABS), also called amniotic band constriction, amniotic band sequence, Streeter dysplasia,
congenital constriction bands or rings, and amniotic deformity adhesions mutilations (ADAM), is a congenital disorder caused by entrapment of fetal parts (usually a limb or digits) in fibrous amniotic bands
while in utero. Up to 50% of cases have other congenital anomalies including

cleft lip, cleft palate, and clubfoot deformity. Hand and finger anomalies occur in up to 80%. The OB/GYN Group informed me that my son was missing digits on left hand. They didn’t have any answers to why this could have happen, I thought what did I do and I was overwhelm with guilt I prayed for a healthy child. A planned c-section was performed and a host of complications. My son Tre was born with Amniotic Band Syndrome (ABS) affecting his left hand. He has had surgery and bone was removed from his left foot to lengthen his pinky finger so that he can have a pincer to give him some ability to hold small objects. As I become more educated about ABS, I will be updating this page and help other Parents with children affected with ABS. I am ME Children's book coming soon. BOX 666

When you sink into the valley. When all you see are peaks for miles and miles with no way through. When it’s too cold for spring and movement seems daunting. When still is all you can do. Wrap yourself in silence and allow the days to pass by, allow time to move until the heat of a new season comes down from the mountains and turns hardened ground into a fresh bed of life. Away to fold you hands and heart and mind now rested and ready for you to rise, and rise, and rise.

As we embark upon the holiday season I wish you the opportunity to pause and reset!

To stand still and witness yourself. To connect your mind, body, and spirit. To unclench your jaw and relax your shoulders. To move your body slowly, intentionally.

To breathe in calm, soothing stillness.
And to release tension and overthinking.
Guilt, fear, and shame.

To let go of stress, busy, rushing, and to-do lists.

To release expectations wrapped up as “traditions” when they no longer serve you.

To wrap your arms gently around yourself and to let their warmth consume you; like the comfort of a soothing warm bath, with a chill in the air.

To softly allow your lips to curve into a smile. Spreading slowly, across your beautiful face.
Raising your cheeks high, to the sky.

To express gratitude to yourself, for taking this moment to grant yourself the most precious gift.

Self-love!

Stay kind! Much love!
