What is a hand strung bolo, what do you wear it with, and where can you get one? My bolos start with spools of butter-soft deer, elk or more rustic cowhide in a variety of colors. I always have the classics on hand- black, chocolate, saddle, to***co- but I love unexpected selections like gray, cream, olive, burgundy, turquoise and teal, pink, purple and different shades of blue. I cut each lace to 40”, then string it through a slotted concho. Because it’s me, you know I have dozens of conchos on hand in every finish.

My fringe bolos pair effortlessly with dresses and blouses; sleek, flowy, lacy, floral, ruffled, peplum… anything. They are the perfect accessory for solid color and graphic tees and tanks alike. Of course wear one with a pearl snap or button up for a classic western look. They even look great with sweaters! You really can’t go wrong, and they are easy to wear for occasions, date night, concerts and errand day.

Visit me tomorrow from 9am-1pm at the Backyard Market in BF ! I’ll be down on the bottom in the back where it is cooler and less breezy than the main drag. I will have all these fabulous items and much more, including new bracelets to wear the rest of the summer and into fall.

This dress is such an unexpected combination of modest and sexy. I look in the mirror, and at first glance I get a puritan vibe. Then immediately I notice the perfect v-neck with a casual yet sexy button placket. Then the fitted waist and smocking in all the right places. Short, but you won’t see my butt cheeks if I move.
I don’t wear dresses. I wear jeans. All day, everyday. I do mean at least 364 days 😉 But you know what, this little dress from Wyld Earth at the Backyard Farm Shop was pretty fun to wear. Paired with WGB jewelry? Yep, it was a winner.

Deadwood, SD. I drove through this town with my parents on our way to North Dakota my entire childhood. I knew there was a rodeo, but we never got to watch it. When Danny and I achieved our pro status, I decided Deadwood was a must.
Deadwood is wild. Deadwood is western. Ask, and I’ll tell you the full story. My birthday in 2016 was a big rodeo road trip, full of amazing memories, things I wouldn’t do again, and things I long for with my soul.

2017. Not a good day. I had a marathon vet and farrier day with Danny because he was not ok. I remember it had rained a lot and was so green. I was young, naive and still hopeful. Oh so hopeful. I was happy. My in-laws were here and we ordered gyros to go from Caspian Cafe, had a huge spread and bday celebration at Harding Farm. It was so special.

2019. Our last rodeo season. Back at Monte Vista (it was part of my 2016 birthday rodeo escapade). We placed in the rodeo. I was happy. I was where I should be- Dan the Man doing his thing and me along for the ride.

2020. It was ok we weren’t at the rodeos. Dan wasn’t ok. COVID. People were insane, life was weird. I was in the very odd process of starting WGB, even though I didn’t know it and it wasn’t in the plan.
