Had some production hiccups on the new pickups at the end of last week that I had to work thru over the weekend. Made for a big winding day today trying to catch up at least a little! (That's alot more winding than it looks like, and there's alot more of em than that! Lol)

Customer installed a set of our multicoil jazz bass pickups along with a Lusithand Devices filter preamp into a Sadowski 5 string fretless. Great work!

A customer sent me pics of their P/MM conversion using our multicoil pickups and an Underhill Bass Guitars preamp! Each pickup has 8 coils, and they're all wired 1 humbucker/string. Great work!

Big upgrade for this Klos 5 string! I tossed the stock pickups and pickguard in favor of our big 4-row multicoil pickup and matching pickguard made from purpleheart and ebonized walnut. HUGE upgrade in tone and voicing options! Just about any combination of rows, either in series or parallel (or both!) is possible with this setup. Also added a switchable tone pot and a bright switch on the volume to top it off.

The big trick on this one was fitting the 3 big 4p4t rotary switches into the Klos bass without modifying the body. It was tight, and there was really only one way to make everything all fit, but I made it work. I ended up photo digitizing the body and cavity, so I could create a cad model to work with. After a setup and some new string, this guy plays like a dream and sounds killer! Completely new bass!

Multicoils in a p bass is a tight fit but well worth it!Paired with a filter based preamp, these guys open up a huge range of voices not usually available on a p bass. You can even use them passively for a tight, punchy, yet clear sound with an enhanced bottom end.

Been super busy lately but I had to get a few pics up of this guy. This is what will be my new M3 Passive Bass. The body is ebonized walnut with a maple insert. I love ebonizing walnut because it seems black at first but its really a very dark brown that varies in intensity where the wood has more tannins.

That big pickup houses 20 individual coils that are arranged and wired into into 4 rows. Each row is humbucking, clean and powerful, with a strong, well defined low end. Combinations of these rows are selected using a 4 position rotary switch, which allows you to quickly and easily change the voicing of the bass

The volume is a push/pull, and when pulled up adds brightness and top end sparkle to the tone.

The tone k**b is also a push/pull. When down it functions normally, however, when pulled up it engages a smaller capacitor and allows you to fine tune the top end of your tone.

The neck is a KLŌS Guitars carbon fiber 22 fret neck with stainless frets. It's amazingly stable and resonant!

The pickup is hard mounted to the body using a 4 point system that allows you to rotate and level it however you want.

If you're interested in this new model I'm taking deposits on upcoming builds and I'll be adding everything to the website soon. There are a ton more features than I can't really list out here in this post but will be up on the website soon.

To say that I've been busy lately is a huge understatement, and I've got alot of other new products coming out shortly, so stay posted!
