Phase One: Sidewalk Salvation! The Rush River Concrete superheroes saved my gardens from certain doom today! They even tamed the wild Russian sage beast! Shoutout to Josh McCabe who has been incredibly nice to work with. Bye-Bye you miserable sidewalk! Hip-Hip Hooray for new concrete! 😃

Thank You to everyone who took plants! There are 3 lonely little Stiff Goldenrods still waiting for a home though. I added some more dirt and gave them more water so they should be good for now. And thank you for also taking the Russian Sage cuttings and seed pods. Yay for free!😁

FREE!!! Had to pull stuff from the store garden for the new sidewalk which means FREE STUFF FOR YOU! There's a water bucket by the front door with cut Russian Sage which makes lovely bouquets for your deck - the bumble bees love this stuff, take as much as you want, but please don't take my bucket. 😉 On the right side by the spigot are free native plants - a couple Pale Purple Coneflower, bags of Stiff Goldenrod (one of my favorites!) and some bags and pots of Sedum. These don't have to be planted immediately, but they wouldn't mind a little more dirt and a shady place to hang until you do (and give the goldenrod a good prune to encourage root growth). Plus there are some free seed pods sitting on the garbage container - Queen Annes Lace, Regular Coneflower and Pale Purple Coneflower heads. The store is now closed, but you can stop by anytime to grab any of these freebies! Yay! Free Stuff!

LAST DAY OPEN BEFORE CLOSING FOR CONSTRUCTION! Shop today before we shut down for the next 2-3 months! It has been a whirlwind of contractors, bids (and hopefully some grant money) as I plan for a new sidewalk, replacing a foundation wall and getting ready to spruce up the store front. No worries, the store is not going away, just getting better. Keep an eye out for updates as we go! 😁
