This is Bear. I met him while shopping at Lidl. As he walked by, I couldn’t help but smile and admire his striking appearance. His long, flowing hair, fringed suede clothing, and distinctive hat made from an animal hide immediately caught my attention. In his hand, he carried a weathered walking stick with his name, Bear, etched into the handle, adorned with animal tails. Standing tall with soulful blue eyes, he had a quiet presence that was impossible to ignore.
I knew I had to paint him.
I hurried down the next aisle to catch up with him, introduced myself, and explained that I was an artist. I asked if he would mind letting me take a few photographs because I would love to create his portrait. He graciously agreed, and from that chance encounter, this painting was born.
