✨💎Stone Of The Day : Labradorite 💎✨
At first glance, labradorite can appear smoky gray-but turn it toward the light and an extraordinary hidden world emerges.
That shifting flash is called labradorescence. It happens when light enters the stone and reflects between its microscopic internal layers, revealing brilliant shades of blue, green, gold, and sometimes violet or copper.
Labradorite was named for Labrador, Canada, where it was first formally documented by Europeans. Today it is also found in Madagascar, Finland, Norway, Russia, Australia, and other parts of the world.
In crystal traditions, labradorite is often associated with transformation, intuition, and protection-fitting story for a stone that keeps its brightest colors hidden until the light finds them.

Labradorite is believed by some to have the ability that can be used to influence positive changes in one's life. It has a high level of energy that many say works very quickly. The genesis of Labradorite is linked to the cooling of magma. Found predominantly in mafic igneous rocks such as basalt and gabbro, it crystallizes as magma slowly cools within the Earth. Anorthosite bodies, rare geological formations, are almost entirely composed of it. This mineral can also emerge during metamorphism, specifically within amphibolites. Furthermore, it's not uncommon to find Labradorite as a detrital component in certain sediments. Its formation environment often includes the presence of olivine, pyroxenes, amphiboles, and magnetite.
