Dad's Old Fashioned Root Beer was developed in the 1930s by Ely Klapman 😁 and his partner Barney Berns in the basement of Ely's Chicago-area home. It soon became a Midwest favorite and by the late 1940s, was one of the most consumed brands of root beer nationwide.
