Three podcasts deep and you've already got a theory. 🔍

You check the locks twice. You know what "person of interest" actually means and you know it's not nothing. You've told a friend "I think it was the neighbor" with a confidence level that is genuinely not supported by your credentials, which are: podcasts.

And you were right that one time. Which has been ruinous for everyone around you.

Basically A Detective. Small typewriter lettering across the chest — subtle, not shouty. The people who get it will get it and everybody else just sees a good ringer tee.

And here's the part I actually believe: turns out the scary thing was never that scary. It's almost always the week before that's brutal. The thing itself takes eleven minutes and then it's over and you're standing there like — that's it? That's what I lost sleep over?

Mountain roots, rhinestone dreams. ⛰️✨

This one's for the girl who grew up in the hills and never once dressed like it.

The lettering has a whole mountain range built into it — hand-drawn, stars, scrollwork, the whole thing done like signage painted on the side of a building fifty years ago and left to fade in the sun. I'm really proud of how it came out.

But the phrase is the actual point: where you started and how you carry yourself do not have to match. You can be from a town nobody's heard of and still walk into a room. Those things were never in conflict, no matter who told you otherwise.

For the one who left. The one who stayed. And the one who still says the town name with her whole chest. 🤎

Here's my problem with most "witchy" shirts: they're really just Halloween shirts. 🌿

Bats. Cauldrons. A moon. All lovely — I make several of those and I like them — but they have a shelf life. November hits and they go in the drawer with the seasonal stuff and that's the last you see of them until next September.

This one doesn't do that.

It's eight herbs. Properly drawn, properly labeled, the way they'd appear in an old botanical guide. Mugwort in April is just mugwort. Rosemary in June is just rosemary. There's nothing on it that expires.

So it works in the garden, at the farmers market, at the plant nursery, on a gray Tuesday in February — and yes, in October too, but that's not the whole job. 🌱

I don't care. The drink is good. The season is good. I ordered one in a drive-thru at 8:40 this morning and it improved my entire outlook. That's not basic, that's just working.

Heart-shaped sunglasses. Double peace signs. Full neon. This cow woke up and chose confidence and I would genuinely like to know how she does it, because I have never once felt this good about a Tuesday.

Okay but hold on. What do ghosts tell ghost stories about? They're already ghosts. That's the whole premise gone. Are they telling each other about people? Is it just a guy in a house who won't leave? Is the scary part a real estate agent?

I've thought about this more than the design required and I regret nothing.

Anyway — a little group of ghosts around a campfire, drawn in that soft vintage style. Cute rather than creepy, which is the whole point.

Three little witches, one bubbling cauldron, and a moon that is absolutely smiling about it. 🧙‍♀️🌙

I love this one because it's dense — there are black cats in there, and bats, and spell books, and little bottles of something. Every time I look at it I find something I didn't notice before. It feels like an illustration out of a picture book you had as a kid and can't quite remember the name of.

And it's the sweet side of Halloween. No gore, nothing scary, just magic and mischief and a very good moon.

From September 1st through Thanksgiving I am not accepting other vibes. Not summer vibes. Not "it's still technically warm" vibes. Certainly not Christmas-decorations-in-October vibes. Gourds. Only. It's very simple.

And I love this artwork — it's a whole detailed collection of heirloom pumpkins, the weird bumpy ones and the pale blue-green ones and the flat orange stackable ones. Not cartoon pumpkins. Real pumpkin-patch pumpkins.
