I finally got hold of an Artin grandstand and have started printing some of the people from World of Slot cars. Looking forward to dabbing some paint on these people.

Really a lot of character and just fun little sculpts.

I have been adjusting to a vitreous detachment in my eye so no painting for the past few weeks. It is permanent and my brain is supposed to adapt to it within a few months. A bit annoying but nothing that can not be overcome.

Hope spring has kept your hobby projects on track. I am happy it is warm enough to print again.

If you are in the Los Angeles area, check out LA Wargames. They recently stocked a selection of bases so you can save on shipping. Nice to have some stock out in the wild.

They actually host retro game nights. Kind of amazing and nice to know others enjoy indulging in lost games.

Something new I am tinkering with and wanted to share. I am not affiliated, just a fan.

Kim Kristensen is from Denmark and I found his Youtube (HobbyWorld) channel some time ago. He seems a very likable person who is just sharing his hobbies. He has printed life sized Terminators and built a lot of neat things.

Recently he has split his subject matter in to slot racing and others, something I should have done but figure people can ignore what they choose.

He has a Patreon called World of Slot Cars and he is making printable files for various things.

Most interesting, he is scanning average people and putting them out as spectators. I am looking forward to having an entire grand stand filled with enthusiastic fans. One of the projects I have planned for the summer in fact as printing weather is upon us.

But the scanning part is really amazing. I wonder what else can be scanned and printed?

Once I get some painted up I will post pics. Currently my one eye has an issue that makes my vision a bit blurry and it may take a while to clear up. I really like these "normal" people to add to my terrain and it is something different to paint.

Just a quick note- I am taking a break from selling platforms while pondering a solution to a couple problems.

I left the tires on Ebay, everything else is gone from Amazon, Etsy and Ebay.

The website is functioning and I can always repond via email.

Overall I am in the cool down phase of life and have little tolerance for their nonsense. The DD+7 change is ridiculous.

My future is tinkering with favorite projects and sharing them with others. I have a new idea for an improved wobbler chassis that I will be testing out.

Looking forward to all of that.

I am finishing my winter project. In this case it is not my Civil War army or my Dodge Super Bee model kit.

It is a home repair that might inspire someone to tackle that project. My daughter will be living for a very low cost and my knees will heal.

There have been some dodgy moments. Yesterday a wasp got stuck between my eye glasses and my eye. It got very agitated as it bounced off my eye ball. I managed to throw the glasses to the ground without getting stung. I am allergic and carry a shot but getting stung in the eye was not something I want to deal with.

Check out those $15 hood stripes on the truck. Hard to believe I had this truck for 11 years now!

This is what I have been doing over the winter instead of gaming or slot car racing. As this project winds down it is back to tinkering with my odd projects...

New project that has pulled me away from painting minis today. Sam wants to race 1/24 Formula cars. I am using an RC car for mine and will report on its performance. The motor is tiny and runs on 3.2 volts. The digital chip can be programed to reduce the power so it does not burn out. But I worry that it will lack torque to keep up with the massive Carrera motors. If it needs an upgrade that can be done. I could put 20 volts to this little motor and go out in a blinding blur followed by a puff of smoke.

I expect the wings to last less than 5 laps.

OK, going to take a break as I am out of credits. This is literally what it is like trying to explain what I am looking for to these AI idiots. I asked again for a metal elf song. While it has better lyrics it sounds like a Latin Aretha Franklin. While I kind of like it it is not even close to what I was expecting. And I upgraded to the pro video version of my artillery firing. And these are the most rapid fire 12 pounders I have ever seen. It is interesting but sort of hard to figure out.
