Proxie Models is a small workshop that produces products for hobbyists.

Proxie Models was founded to try and recreate the hobby-focused aspect of the cottage industry associated with games. Some inspirations include companies like Marx toys, Grenadier miniatures, and many other small companies that have given me so much enjoyment over the years. It is not really run as a business, a fact that we take much pride in. Instead, we're more like a loose confederation of peo

ple with ideas who are all sharing the tools and materials to create whatever strikes us as being neat at that particular moment. We have been around for a couple of years now and plan on growing slowly and steadily. At the current time we have resin casting and plastic injection capabilities. As more people join the movement I hope to be able to increase the items available. All items are made in the USA and are shipped to you for the lowest price possible.

Lots of issues here. These 4 parts would be better as individual items due to the difficulty painting them when produced as a single piece. Same problem in the rear. Back the drawing board I guess. The engine decals are really tough to fit in to that tiny wedge. I made 440 only. No hemi yet.

I do like it though. I will ponder this a bit and see it it is worth the trouble to paint the pieces or make all those parts. Each part takes space in the mold. Lots to think about.

That liquid silver chrome paint is really nice stuff. Fusion Firm Ultra Shining Fluid Silver Foil. Long name but it does look like chrome.

First decal size test. The cowl decal is a bit short. Contrast paint helps the grill details standvout.

Process pics. Left is the AI generated image, middle is the AI generated 3D model, and right is the printed and painted sample. She lost her shouting face in the transition to 3D model but it seems close. This is based on a 20mm square for Oldhammer. I enlarged the model by 4mm and think I will drop back by 1mm. I want it to fit in with my mostly 5-6th edition troops.

I recently learned that the new MESBG models are larger. Perhaps they are now up to WFB size? who knows.

I have a ton of credits to use by the 22nd and will be grinding away at more stuff.

Currently I am using standard resin and it is too brittle to waste time painting. I need to find something more robust in order to use these figs.

Winter is approaching and I am trying to get my 3D printing done while it is warm out in the shop.

Defeating AI is not going to take a full John Conner type hero. It is kind of stupid and easily overcome with clever language. First prompt was dangerous, second was perfectly fine.

I printed some Amazons and started to paint them and decided they were too frail. Very similar to the Ral Partha figs. I went back to AI and got some chunky figures to print out.

I also had a catastrophic computer failure and was at a loss for how to fix it. I used my phone to ask AI and it walked me through a complete troubleshooting sequence that determined that one the memory slots was shorting out in the mother board. I had to take that memory stick out and now everything is working fine but with 25% less memory. I sent a picture of my PC and it identified everything in the case.

I was going to plug that 16 GB stick in to an old computer and took a picture to ask if it would fit and work. It patiently explained that my CAD workhorse uses different memory than my old home PC and they will not fit.

The World of Slot cars guy is putting out models faster than I can print them. I found this 1/32 scale Ambulance on Amazon for $8 and it fits perfectly with his rescue crew. The company is called Battat and the are listed as 1/24 but are actually 1/32. They have a range of odds and ends on the site for decorating your track.

Embrace the future, it is going to be interesting.

Ai generated this. I think it is a personal attack on me and proof that AI is sentient and has a bad attitude. I did not request the raised fingers and in fact the system I am using does not allow such requests. I asked for a driver and I got an unmistakable message. Looking directly at me and letting me know how it feels.

It is going to be a lot of fun dealing with this.

And yeah, this print is going to be in one of my slot cars. I never intended to make this but now I got to use it.

I took down the last post because I was a bit premature and did not complete the process to see if it all worked out. I did not want to eat my words if it all turned sideways like so many things do.

I am sharing a model created entirely using AI. The concept art was made and then fed to the 3D model generation process. the model is an Amazon that AI got carried away with the muscles. You can download it for free at the link provided and make your own stuff at that web site. It is a bit glitchy this morning and I expect it to go out of business at any minute. AI is feast or famine right now as a business it seems.

It is not perfect and many (digital) fingers were lost in the process. But I think I have about 30 printable models. Both car drivers and Amazon warriors.

I am printing a batch now. You can literally create anything you want as long as you can describe it. However, I still hate the resin printing process and mess.

Keep your fingers crossed and it may be possible to move some of these in to hard plastic. I made a lot of plain people with no arms.

The guy on the right of the printed models is pictured as an AI creation. Then printed. Even his t shirt pocket came out good.

Couple more things created by AI. I have been wanting the standard nose Mercury from 1968-69 and it has been hard to find in any kit. Within seconds AI created one for me.

For my second Amazon attempt I used Ai to create a pencil sketch and then fed that to the mesh creator. It seemed a better use of credits than generating from text only. Not sure if it will eventually be proven wrong, but for now it seemed to work.

The results are really big files with a lot of faces. Probably the norm today but my aged Windows 7 PC is struggling a bit.

Here are some pics. The Amazon is print ready and can be added to a collection with ease. About as close to point and click as one could get for making your own personalized models.

Very first attempt at a free Ai model generation tool. A couple prompts and a few minutes of waiting and this appeared. Amazing time saver but at the same time really will impact several careers. The constant march of progress

Been pushing ahead with random projects. The Artin demo track is coming together, the McLaws battle is getting finalized and my crowd painting is moving along. My Artin tack will be analog so I can test chassis and tire variations.

Today my printing was for my granddaughter. It was a set of the characters from Stranger Things, her favorite show.

Hope you are enjoying your hobbies, whatever they are.
