Notknapping Handcrafted accessories and decor. I mainly use natural materials like linen, felt, cork fabric, wool, cotton, and waxed canvas. I've asked them not to do that.

Everything here is handmade, by me, with the help of several vintage singers ranging from 60 to 70 years old, as well as modern sewing and embroidery machines. Most of my items are vegan; leather is noted when used. Where possible I use the smallest amount of processed material, and cut with the least waste. All of my materials, from zippers and hardware to fabric and thread, are high quality. I stand behind my work, please contact me if there is a problem with one of my makes, or if a gnome is keeping you awake at night with his singing.

It’s raining now and it was raining last Sunday, but that did not matter to fiber people! The Lehigh Valley Fiber Festival was again a success and I know I speak for every vendor when I thank all the attendees for coming out to support us. DURING A NOR’EASTER. You all are hard-core.

Most of us work alone in our studios, and being able to spend a couple of days with a crowd of like-minded people is rewarding and inspiring. Hedge and Allison do an amazing job of organizing, being helpful, supporting our every whim…no wait…but most importantly, giving us an outlet as small producers: thanks to both of you and your team!

During the event, volunteers flood Triangle Park to hang hundreds of handmade winter items—mainly scarves, but also hats and gloves—onto trees, park benches, and railings. These items are free for anyone in the community who needs help staying warm during the cold winter months. Last year I believe something in the neighborhood of 450 items were donated.
At Conversational Threads, we are a drop-off point for collecting the donations to pass on to the Emmaus Lioness Lions Club. The Club can definitely use more, so if anyone is willing to make extra, please keep them coming. Having them about two weeks before November 7th is preferable as it gives them time to tag everything beforehand, but they can accept donations right up to the day of the event and tag them on site.
