Today Friday 6/5/2026, nursery is open 9am-5pm. A group of epidendrum plants in 41/2”pots, not flowering but are probably our best growing red/orange colors, but could be pink, or coral ???? Small epidendrum plants need to be watered and fertilized regularly and would do better in bright shade. Large plants can handle more direct sun.

Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our beloved farm dog Kirra. Although we like to think of this more as a see you later rather than goodbye.

Kirra thoroughly enjoyed working the farm, in particularly working the shop. She would be on high alert as she waited for people to enter the parking lot and then trot down into the greenhouse to get a crack at getting to say hello. I think saying hello to each and every person that came in was the highlight of her day, there was nothing she loved more to do. And when she wouldn’t be granted to right to greet our guest, she would sit and cry until someone finally gave in ultimately always getting her way, she was a smart pup like that. She also loved chasing off rabbits and squirrels, carefully navigating around potted plants at high speeds never knocking a plant over. She also just simply enjoyed sunbathing at work and waiting for some action to come along.

Kirra was such a huge part of our farm and our store here, and we were so lucky to get to share her with everyone that came. I want to thank everyone who let her come up to have sniff, gave her a pet, treat, let her lean on you, and love in general. We will forever miss Kirra but we hope her presence will forever be felt here on the farm. We love you, Kirra.
