There’s a little video showing the pieces that I just took out of the kiln this morning, even though I’ve already posted photos of them. I wanted to give you a better visual on how the glazes turned out in the natural light. I’ve made some good notes on what to do and what not to do. I am ready to go back home today after I finish working at Local Tides Venice and get busy making and adjusting and applying what I’ve learned! Thanks peeps!!

Learning journey just getting started. Overall I’m happy with the way things came out after applying glaze, but I’m not in love with all of these. In fact, I dislike a couple of them so much that I don’t want to post them however, I think for comparative purposes as I grow and learn and improve, I need to put them up so that I can gauge how and where to improve. So here are some pics of this mornings kiln products. Feel free to critique. You won’t hurt my feelings since I don’t like a few of these guys myself and I know that I have a long way to go in this learning journey. Thanks for coming along with me 😁😎

Quick preview 😬. I know I should wait til these pieces are dried, fired, and glazed, but I had so much fun making them and several others yesterday, that I couldn’t stop myself from posting. The Sasquatch will have a shark tooth in that open hand when he’s finished! Sasquatch hunting for shark teeth? That’s hilarious 🤣 🫈.

Forgot to upload this yesterday, but here’s the first firing test results that little Fia produced. They’ll need some shiny clear glaze to make them pop, but overall, I’m stoked! She did great! Welcome to the family Fia!!
