This is just a little bit of the alpaca I've finished processing from one of the fleeces I bought from Oddball Homestead and Shearing. It came from a rescued first blanket from High Street Farms.
Before washing, I spent less than an hour carefully picking out the grass and hay by hand. I'd say that time was well spent! The fiber cleaned up beautifully and carded into this incredibly soft, fluffy cloud.
Sometimes a little extra effort at the beginning makes all the difference. L
