With weather starting to cool off, we are scheduling winterization appointments. A winterization is a tune up which includes emptying the oil, carburetor and gas tank and disconnecting the battery for winter storage. Then we come out in the spring, add fresh fluids and start it up for you so it's ready to go. All of this is done on site so you're never without your mower. Give us a call and schedule your mower for a winterization!

Man it's hot out there! When the temp is up:
* stay hydrated
* mow in the morning or late evening
* mow and trim for shorter stretches- 30 to 45 minutes for a mower, 10-15 minutes for trimmers- and let your equipment cool down between sessions.

It's hot outside! Make sure your mower can breathe and function without overheating. Check your oil level and make sure it isn't dark brown or black. Check your air filter and prefilter to make sure it isn't clogged with grass or dirt. And if it's time for a tune up, remember we do on site mobile tune ups at your location in about an hour, so you don't have to be without your mower! We know the temptation to mow after it rained is high, especially if the grass is getting tall. Make sure you give your yard a couple days to dry out. Wet grass can really damage your mower! If you have an aerobic system, it's better to use a w**d trimmer to trim in the spray field or mow in the evening when the sprinklers haven't been running and it's pretty dry. Wet grass can become as hard as concrete so resist the temptation to mow when it's wet!
And if you have mowed wet grass and notice your blade dragging or a vibration, give us a call before it does permanent damage. Happy mowing!

We are starting to cool off here in North Texas. Just wanted to let everyone know that now is the perfect time to have your mowers winterized. When stored properly, mowers start right up and are ready to go when you are in the Spring.
Also, make sure your generators, chainsaws and other winter equipment are ready to go. If they don't want to start or are struggling to run let us take care of them before you need them.
