Stop by our pop up tent and enjoy a walk on the beautiful new north ephraim path!!

We’re interrupting your Fyr Bal content because there’s another great event coming your way on Monday!

Join us for our first Evenings in Ephraim of the summer, with a twist! In addition to our first farmers market and concert in the park of the season, we will be celebrating the completion of the new North End Path!

We have so many incredible businesses on the northern end of Ephraim, and we want to show them off! Businesses will be hosting open houses, giveaways, scavenger hunts, and much more! We even have THREE brand new businesses hosting events who are excited for you to check them out!

After walking the path and checking out all of our amazing local businesses, head to the Red Putter for our first Bondemarked of the season! We have a great selection of local vendors, food trucks, live music, and we’ll even be serving beer to celebrate the occasion!

After the market, head downtown to Harborside Park for a free concert from Talk of the Town, sponsored by Ephraim Village Cottages.

Monday, June 22
North End Path Celebration & Market: 3-6pm
Concert in the Park: 6-8pm

Specimen Spotlight: Thunder Bay Amethyst

If you’ve spent any time browsing our shelves, you’ve probably noticed the striking Thunder Bay Amethyst from the famous Blue Points Mine in Ontario. But do you know what makes it so unique compared to regular amethyst?
Take a close look at those deep purple crystals. See that distinct rust-red layer? That isn't a stain or a blemish—it's a natural coating of hematite (an iron oxide mineral) that grew right over the amethyst over a billion years ago! 🇨🇦❤️💜
Because of the unique geology of the Canadian Shield, these pieces formed with beautiful, rugged "caps" and phantom layers that you just don't see in amethyst from Brazil or Uruguay.
It’s one of our absolute favorite minerals to talk about in the shop. Next time you're in, ask us to show you one under the display lights so you can see the incredible detail up close!

🇺🇸 Don’t wait until this weekend for a great deal! Our Memorial Day sale starts today. Come take home your favorite zeolite piece at half the cost—50% off our table. America 🇺🇸

What is a Zeolite?

Zeolites are a fascinating family of minerals with over 40 unique natural varieties, each featuring its own distinct crystal habit. Formed millions of years ago from the interaction of volcanic ash and alkaline water, they are often called "nature’s purifiers" due to their unique porous structure. In the world of minerals, they are prized for their incredible diversity, ranging from the pearly "bow-ties" of Stilbite to the delicate, radiating needles of Scolecite. Because they grow in intricate, often fragile clusters, no two specimens are exactly alike. These "boiling stones" are not only scientific marvels used for filtration but also stunning geometric masterpieces for any home collection.
