💖 Join us for a special Story Hour at Briggs Street Books & Music! 💖

We're so excited to welcome a very special author, Aubrie Reed, for an interactive reading of Heart to Heart!

First, Aubrie will read from her first book, Heart to Heart. After the story, children will participate in The Thread of Love—a creative, hands-on activity where each child will decorate a heart and help connect them into one beautiful community garland. Together, we'll explore the book's themes of love, connection, and belonging in a fun and meaningful way.

As a special keepsake, every child will receive a Thread of Love sewing kit to take home and continue creating!

This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate kindness, creativity, and community together. We can't wait to see you there! ❤️

About Aubrie: Aubrie Reed is the author of Heart to Heart and founder of LoveLight Press, a children’s book and educational resource company rooted in love, connection, presence, and the shared human experience. Join us for a special evening of music, culture, and storytelling at Briggs Street Books & Music.

Our July 'Art Between the Lines' Lecture features flutist Mallory Wood, who will guide us through a beautiful and thought-provoking exploration of flute music by Japanese composers, alongside Japanese-inspired works. Through live demonstration and insight, Mallory will share the stories behind each piece and highlight how extended techniques reflect the blending of cultural influences within the Western flute tradition.

Mallory Wood is currently a DMA student in Flute Performance and Pedagogy at CU Boulder. She holds a Master of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Texas Christian University.
