spent a little time at my desk yesterday. it has felt nearly impossible to do anything other than exist these last 11 days & my head still isn’t wrapped around the idea of my dad being gone forever.

but, he was always his best when he was pursuing his passions & keeping his hands busy. at the arrangements for his funeral, they asked if he had any hobbies… we all simultaneously said “EVERYTHING” & i am comforted by the fact that so many would say the same about me.

so i’ll keep creating & working & fulfilling my passions even when it’s hard.

this isn’t jewelry related, so let me apologize in advance. i’ve fought this one for a long time & honestly, at times i believed it. “you can’t care more than they do” is something i have heard the entirety of my life. about people, about things, about moments, about time. but the truth is, i do care. & sometimes i care MORE about the little things. the things others look past. the things that exist in the little moments in between.

sometimes its a frustrating place to be. at times, it feels like i am living in a different world altogether, but I wouldn’t change it.

so yea, maybe i shouldn’t care too much, but i do & i always will. 🤎
