“I’ve always been drawn to the rugged energy of the West. My latest paintings explore the shared roots and frontier motifs of the Mexican and American West. The inspiration spans a huuuge geographic footprint—moving from vast horizons and open expanses of the California Hi-Dez down to the historic avenues and cobblestone streets of Durango, Mexico. I focused heavily on the iconography I’m drawn most to though. These include some of the classic western figures like vaqueros, charreria, rodeo, wildlife (dead or alive), and those dramatic desert hues. These artworks perhaps tell a story about the grit and raw beauty of these intertwined lands. A story about what we share in common more than what we lack. F**k man I don’t know.” - Abraham Romero

Spots are going fast! Check out our new downstairs shared studio available Sept 1.

🎨 Due to high demand, ArtHatch (Escondido, CA) is launching a new shared studio space! Space is located downstairs and fully ADA compliant.

• Choose your private studio day (Monday–Friday) to teach or use the space privately.

Or, choose Sunday/Share day with up to two other artists. Wall space for display and locked supply/storage space included.

Shared easels, aprons, bottled water, new mac computer, new printer, new desk, large paper roll, drying racks, cleaning supplies, ect.

Price also includes utilities, full building ventilation and purification system, shared break room with coffee pot, bottled, water, fridge, microwave, toaster oven, wall space, and marketing.

• Shared tables/seating for 12 people.

• Perfect for artists with day jobs or busy family lives who want dedicated creative time, but not enough to warrant the commitment of a private space.

• 6-month lease required; one month deposit

• Located within the ArtHatch/Distinction building alongside galleries, artist studios, escape rooms, and art/music bar.

• Wonderful community of artists!

The following Spots are still available:
Monday - $350 (private, for 1 or 2 people, no teaching)
Thurs - $400 or $450 (spot #2 or #3)
Friday - $400 or $450 (spot #2 or #3)
Sunday/Shareday - $250 each (3/3 spots available) - a great option to do with friends!

Our private spaces are full, and we currently have two people on the waitlist. If you are interested in a shared spot, you can start there and switch to a private space when one becomes available.
