Tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct 20th, we're gathering downstairs for our monthly Helping Hands: Quilts for the Community event, and we would love for you to join us!

From 1 to 4pm, customers and staff come together to finish quilts that are donated to local organizations, including Laurie's House, Steps to End Domestic Violence, the Lund Home, the Respite House, and the Refugee Resettlement Center. It's one of our favorite afternoons of the month. Good people, good work, and a real sense of community.

All skill levels are welcome, and there are plenty of jobs that don't require a sewing machine. We provide tables, chairs, cutting mats, irons, and ironing boards. Just bring yourself, and maybe a snack! Stop in for the full afternoon or just pop in to see what we're working on.

Are your scissors feeling a little… tired? Snipping more than slicing? Then it might be time to get them sharpened and feeling like new again.

Luckily, Madam Cutler and Co. is at Yankee Pride today from 10:30–12:30, sharpening scissors and knives while you shop. Linda Furiya, a professional sharpener based in Shelburne, will be set up and ready to bring your tools back to life. Sharp tools make sewing smoother, safer, and much more enjoyable.

Can't make it today? She'll be back on 11/12, and make sure to check out the drop box in the back of the shop near the rulers.

It is Finished Friday and we love when a project comes full circle. Teela turned her 2023 Countdown to Grunge advent calendar fat quarters into this beautiful quilt, and we could not be more inspired by what she made with them.

This quilt is a wonderful reminder of what our very first advent calendar became in the hands of our customers. Judy and Trista are so excited to see what you all create with the 2026 Countdown to Dimples, starting December 1st. Pre-orders are open now at the link below.

Your scissors and knives deserve a little love before the holiday season.

Madam Cutler and Co. will be back at Yankee Pride on Monday, October 19, sharpening scissors and knives from 10:30 to 12:30. Linda Furiya of Madam Cutler is a local professional sharpener based in Shelburne, and we’re lucky to have her come right to the shop.

Can’t make it that morning? No problem. Her drop box is available during shop hours, so you can drop off your items ahead of time.

Sharp tools make sewing smoother and safer, and this is an easy way to take care of the tools you use every day.

Dimples by Andover Fabrics has been one of our customers' favorite blenders for years. It comes in nearly 100 colors and features a subtle tone-on-tone honeycomb texture that adds depth and interest without competing with the other fabrics in your project. It reads almost as a solid from a distance but has just enough movement up close to make it interesting. The true definition of a good blender!

Our customers love it so much that it was an obvious choice for our 2026 Advent Calendar! Each calendar includes 24 surprise fat quarters of Dimples in a fun spread of colors curated by Trista and Judy. Including many new colors that we haven’t had in the shop before.
