The fall display outside Thrifty's has been getting lots of attention!

After purchasing a few items from The Daily Harvest to dress up our storefront, customers kept asking if they could buy them. So, instead of saying "no" over and over, I made a sign letting everyone know exactly where they can get them!

We are excited to recognize Kim Anderson
as Thrifty's Volunteer of the Month!
Kim has been volunteering since the store
opened nearly 20 years ago! She is known
for her dedication, attention to detail, and
commitment to keeping Thrifty's running
smoothly. Whether she's sorting donations,
organizing displays, or helping maintain
the sales floor, Kim always goes above and
beyond.
Despite her love of traveling, Kim donates
an Incredible amount of time to Thrifty 's.
She is one of the few volunteer's with a
store key and often comes in after hours to
help, sometimes working until midnight.
This month alone, she volunteered nearly
60 hours.
A fun fact about Kim: she's an avid
traveler who has visited all 50 states and
several countries.
Thank you, Kim, for your hard work,
dedication, and the difference you make
every day. Congratulations on being our

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT... Our July Recipient
Ever wonder who makes sure donated items at Thrifty’s are ready for a second life?
Meet Harold Schroeder, our July Volunteer of the Month! For five days a week, Harold faithfully tests, cleans, and inspects everything from lamps and alarm clocks to toys, fans, and vacuums. He even takes bags of pens and markers home to make sure they still work!
At 87 years old, Harold's dedication and work ethic continue to inspire everyone around him. While he happily tackles almost any item that comes through the door, he draws the line at stereos and DVD players. In his words, they're just getting a little too complicated! 😊
As a store owned by Hope Haven, Thrifty’s helps support Hope Haven's mission of empowering people through services and opportunities that promote independence, inclusion, and hope. Volunteers like Harold play an important role in that mission, helping ensure donated items are ready for their next home and making a lasting impact in our community.
We're incredibly grateful for Harold's attention to detail, servant's heart, and the time he invests each week. Thank you for all you do, Harold!
