Volunteer Spotlight!
Thrifty's can't do what we do without the help of our volunteers. To honor these dedicated and amazing people we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU!
Our June Volunteer of the Month:
Hazel Wilson has been a steady joyful presence at Thrifty’s for 14 years. After moving from Wales in 2011, she befriended a Thrifty’s volunteer at church- a friendship that led her to start helping in the store’s linen area, where she still sorts sheets, blankets, towels, curtains, rugs and pillows every Monday (and often an extra day when she can).

Hazel says she volunteers for one simple reason: “the people”. She now carries on the work she once shared with her friend, who has since passed away, honoring their connection through her service. She also gives her time to the Estherville Garden Club.

Thrifty’s, owned by Hope Haven, depends on volunteers like Hazel to support its mission of helping others live fulfilling lives – and is always eager to welcome new volunteers. Thank you, Hazel, for your years of dedications and the heart you bring to Thrifty’s
