If you’ve been following along with our East Evans Creek fire story, you’ll know that we were anticipating an eventual closure so we can travel to our family property in southern Oregon, assess damages, and take the time to set Ian’s dad up for living there once again.
We know that the structures are still standing (HUGE WIN thanks to the firefighters!!!) but there will be a lot of clean-up to make them habitable again, as well as forest management across the 40 acres. The fire circled and touched down on areas of the property 3 times over the course of 2 weeks, but through the forces protecting it, Lloyd still has a home to go back to.
We also know that in addition to closing this week, we will also need to close for another week sometime in September to continue the work down there, so stay tuned for those dates! This time of year is always the slowest for us, so on one hand we’re grateful that the timing is good for closing, but this also makes it very difficult financially. Massive thanks to those who have supported us through this by stocking up, placing orders, and coming in over the last couple weeks! We can’t weather this storm without you!!
