I adore raspberry leaf, and it forms the base for all my blends along with marshmallow root and mullein.

I harvest it all by hand, and I like using the soft verdant spring growth- then I only dry the leaves so I don't wind up with a bunch of stems and sticks in the mix that stab holes in papers and kill the vibe. Its a labor of love but you literally cannot buy that level of quality...commercially available product is the whole damn cane crunched up and it ain't pretty.

Its texture helps create a slower, smoother, more smoldering burn with a little sweetness to counteract the hot and dry burn of the mullein.

Tis the season...I always crave this sweet floral fragrance potion when the daphne and magnolias are poppin off.

Every flower essence, infusion, and essential oil in this potion has a planetary correspondence with Venus, ruler of pleasure, attraction, beauty, luxuries, and love.

They all also have correspondences with the feminine, and water or earth. This potion not only smells divine, it carries the intelligence, spirit, and qualities of each flower contained within- daphne, magnolias, quince, lilac, rose, passionflower, jasmine, and ylang ylang.

All parts of this gem are poisonous, and have a long and complicated history of questionable use in medical history to treat "bad humors" and the like.

Ingestion isn't the way to go, but you can safely appreciate its beauty and work with hellebores through preparations like essence waters to help work through hopelessness, unravel ancestral trauma, and transform grief into wisdom.

Hellebore essence water was the genesis of my "Bleeding Heart" fragrance potion that combines essence waters, extracts, and oils into a potion mister to help work through places of deep dark grief.
