Eugene Textile Center has a Retail Shop for equipment and materials for the fiber arts, as well as studios for weaving and surface design. ETC offers classes and studio support to individuals in the community with an interest in handweaving, surface design on cloth, and other non-woven fiber techniques.

Christmas in July? WELL, Christmas thoughts, anyway. You have six months to get your visions ready to gift! If you are planning for Hanukkah or Solstice, you're on an even tighter timeline! Just sayin'! Festivus or Kwanzaa? Take an extra day.

Checking over our book inventory got me thinking about bands and how we weave them. Inkle looms, cards, and backstrap rigid heddles come to mind. A coworker mused that there's nothing to stop you from weaving several bands at once on a table or floor loom, but the portability goes down. The new text from Heather Torgenrud, The Band Weaver's Project Book, has me wondering where I might implement a custom woven band. Curtain tiebacks maybe? Where do you see opportunity for bands in daily life?

We are excited to announce that we now carry a small selection of yarns from Kelbourne Woolens! As a producer of American made products and as a women-owned company, we're thrilled to support them while expanding our yarn selection.

These yarns are great for knitters, crocheters, and so far we've seen some fun results from our Beginning Weaving students.

June is off to a great start here at ETC! Our staff (and buddy!) are having fun and working hard at Fiber Fusion Northwest. If you're in the Monroe, WA area, come say hi and check out the booth! The marketplace will be open tomorrow 6/7/26 from 9am-5pm. We're keeping the show fun going with the Montana Association of Weavers and Spinners Conference in Missoula, MT June 16th-21st. If you have any special requests for products you hope to see, let us know in the comments or give us a call!

We currently have two Schacht Wolf Pup LT looms in beautiful cherry wood for sale!

These are the limited edition builds that include a cherry loom, cherry Wolf Trap, a pair of stroller wheels, a cherry treadle tracker, and the reed dent of your choice.

For those not familiar with the Schacht Wolf Pup LT, it is a 4 shaft folding floor loom with 18” of weaving width. It is made to be able to travel fully dressed with your warp on it, which is great for taking to a workshop or just storing out of the way at home.

We have one built and on display in the store now and the other ready to ship out. Come by and check it out, it's a very lovely loom! Or give us a call at 541-688-1565.
