Our Original Potting Soil was built as a ready-to-use mix with the balance growers look for: enough porosity for airflow, enough water retention to support strong growth, and the drainage needed for frequent feeding.

Our coco-based blend brings together coarse peat moss, pumice, our in-house perlite, composted virgin forest material, worm castings, bat guano, fishbone meal, kelp meal, greensand, mycorrhizal fungi, and more carefully selected natural and organic ingredients, giving you a dependable foundation for fast-growing, heavy-feeding plants that need structure, oxygen, moisture, and room to thrive ⚡️

Just another beautiful day on the farm 😎🌱

Roots Organics Original Potting Soil is a ready-to-use, coco-based mix built around a balanced air-to-water ratio, combining strong porosity and water retention to support fast-growing, heavy-feeding plants. Its base of coco fiber, peat moss, perlite and pumice promotes quick drainage and even drying, making it well suited for growers who prefer more frequent feeding.

The blend is packed with quality natural and organic ingredients including worm castings, bat guano, fishbone meal, alfalfa meal, kelp meal, greensand and beneficial mycorrhizal fungi to help build a strong foundation below the surface!

And as this field shows, you don’t even need a separate container. Our soil bags are designed to double as grow pots: just cut open the top, plant directly into the mix, and let it grow (and add a few drainage holes if you’d like!)

We created Roots Organics Formula 707 for a special kind of gardener: the one who wants a ready-to-use soil with more room to steer their own feeding program.

Compared to our other potting mixes, Formula 707 is designed with greater water-holding capacity, fewer nutrients, less perlite, and less pumice, making it a strong choice for large-container gardening and growers who want more control over what goes in after transplant 🌿

Its peat, coco, perlite, and pumice base gives your plants a dependable foundation, while the lighter nutrient charge lets you start feeding a little sooner—typically around 10–14 days after transplant for vigorous fruiting and flowering plants 🌸
